Why is Deborah Cox a sideshow to some fairly average skating on a massive expansive of ice, which separates her from the audience? Deborah is great, but she shoud not have agreed to this gig! It's really not good enough. It's either Deborah Cox, or ice skating, but please, not both. Make a choice.

The remix is the "Hex Hector Chanel Club Mix". This single was released as a promotional single to clubs rather than radio. Deborah is one of two R&B artists (Tamia is the other) who's music is better known remixed than the original. This song (version) was huge in the club scene. It's one of her signature songs and a huge gay anthem.

I saw her perform this today. She had the audience sing "absolutely not" at the point in the song where she sings it at 3:15 in this video. That was rather disappointing. It would have been nicer to hear it burst out of her like in this video.

It has a theme of empowerment and standing up for one's dignity as a person. Many homosexual men have endured ignorance, hatred, and even violence due to their sexual orientation, and a good number of them can identify with this song and its notion of standing up against attempted oppression or negative influence of others. It's also a great beat combined with Deb's insanely good voice :-)
