People learning Kyokushin Karate and complain not being taught grappling is the same as people learning boxing and then complain not being taught kicking.
Learn Judo in Judo dojo, learn Taekwondo in TKD dojang, learn Muay Thai in MT gym. Going to fitnes club and then comlplain "why I haven't being taught how to use firearm" is ridiculous.
Great documentary of karate it's amazing to see a japanese docutmentary of karate in the west (us, canada) and karate is not like it used to be anymore
@Eisu911 Kyokushin incorporated some grappling and throwing at the very start. Sosai Mas Oyama was a 4th dan in Judo. Though ne-waza wasn't (and still isn't of course) part of the kumite, it's still part of Kyokushin. At my dojo we also still learn these kind of throws etc.. Without grappling you can't be a complete fighter.
Jon Bluming (10th dan Kyokushin, 9th dan Judo, one of Sosai's most adored students) also created Kyokushin Budokai which is a combination of Judo and Kyokushin. :)
