Google "OpenRA" and check that out. It's the original command and conquer plus red alert with updated game play. No campaign, about the only thing that sucks, but you can do both single player or multi player skirmishes (I would post a link but for some reason youtube has a stick up its ass right now).

They made no base building and no tiberium in CnC 4 so EA made it suck. What was once the greatest RTS turned into crap. Stupid EA buying out everything.

know tricks of this game,sell your building,and get 2 soilders,quickly circle the building and press "s" bottom, and your building is still there.so you get 2 soilders for free.

and in a muti game dont move your MMtank (if you are GDI),and from the 5th tank you build will land the same place so it will shown only 4 tanks ,so you can hide your true power.

@xJacKBoix It's not, actually it is one of those things that make this game so good. Right now soldiers just fall down or say ugh like somebody pushed them hard while passing them in street. Screams and horrors of war are parts of good game!

@TachoSJ im not sure but i think you can download dosbox for OsX, you would then be able to play command and conquer, red alert and dune 2000 on your mac. there should be a tutorial somewhere if you scour the web.

also command and conquer and red alert are both freeware as of 2008 so it wouldnt be illegal to download them on bit torrent, make sure you get windows 95 edition and not the first decade. there is a third party patch for redalert that allows 4 player internet play

The music was better then, after red alert the music started going downhill.

But the AI was dumb in the first Command & Conquer and treated walls as obstacles you could easily box in enemy troops with sand bags. In red alert walls don't have any effect on the AI.

Plus NOD tanks suck, 5 bazooka men/ 10 grendiers could take out there tanks for exception of the flame tank.

NOD did have the obelisk of light, 1 Shot and 1 kill.
