I am not saying that children & people with Autism should not be cured, helped or improved. I just don't believe that there is some mythical cure right now, so lets all put the money into immediate support 24/7 for families and individuals?
Tell me, if the fabled research of the future proves you wrong and that people wer born with it and are stuck with the Autism condition, what then?
Respect and understanding and support, that's what.

Cure Autism Now is viewed as a hate group by many adult autistics, the whole idea of "cure" is a sensitive and controversial subject; read the article "It is not a disease, it is a way of life" in the Guardian news paper, for an alternative view point.
