This is not a clean pull. A clean pull, or high pull has the lifter pull the elbows high and outside. The athlete should not be instructed to extend at the ankle, although it is acceptable if they do, but only if that is after complete hip extension. Also if you don't have bumper plates and are using less than 45s on the bar, you should work from the hang position, because the bar height is not correct in the start position from the floor with the smaller plates. Nice production, bad instruction
Your not supposed to use the first pull to accelerate the bar. unless its something your supposed to do in a clean pull

Hmmm, two things:
1. During the first pull, back angle in relation to the ground remains constant. The bar is raised through extending the knees.
2. At the start the lifter shoulders should be forwards of the bar.
Apart from that, good video.

@olympicfitness
no hook grip and no thigh brush with the bar also doesnt reach full extension.
bt if its for someone who is doing this just as a variation of the deadlidt , then its great , if its assistance lift for clean ,its bad

if you want to get a better exercise then you do all this and pull it up to your chin
TheDirtrider338 4 months ago
@TheDirtrider338 why to your chin?
HaftabeSomebody 4 months ago
@HaftabeSomebody your body is forced to pull it allll the way up past your waste, and you lean back and pull it up like you would with a power clean
