  • I got a question. Since im getting a new hdtv that i will use for my xbox/computer/tv. I will be using the vga for the computer and a hdmi for the xbox. Is this possible without a hdmi/vga switch box?

  • @AxeltheRipper a new hdtv with hdmi and vga should have a hdmi port and a vga port. so your tv would just be switching inputs. so you shouldn't have to have anything. you would have to be sure the tv has both hdmi and vga.

  • @ccubsfan94 Can i get 1080p through this box?

  • @quietatse no. its vga which cannot support full 1080p. i believe dvi can. i know hdmi can. but a vga cable cannot support full hd i believe.

  • @ccubsfan94 Well my xbox 360 vga cable supports full hd 1080p, it even says so if u google it. I'm just fed up of having to plug and unplug from my monitor all the time. Hence the question.

  • @quietatse well it doesn't affect the resolutions at all. it simply just connects one of the selected at a time. so then it should be able to support it. i used it like i showed in the vid and then switched some wires out when i got a projector so when it was sunny and couldn't use the projector i would have my xbox on a 17 inch screen. but when darker and able to see the projector i would switch it to that. it is versatile. it the xbox vga supports it then this box will too.

  • does this downgrade the quality of either the XBOX 360 or the Computer itself??? please respnd

  • @NorCalGrizzlies13 Nope. I have a full explanation of that in the reply I gave to drevilownsu.

  • @NorCalGrizzlies13 if you have a 1600x900 or better rezzed monitor it makes it 1080p hd with hdmi or display but its still 1080p just not hd widescreen :)

  • Do you get lag when you play fps games? slower response time or something like that? Thanks

  • @drevilownsu nope. it is a direct connection. when it is connected to one it is not connected to the other. so you monitor will be connected to one source and when you switch it disconnects from that source and connects to the other one. if you hold the switch in the middle it will be connected into nothing and your monitor will say something like self diagnostics check signal. so you will not have any lag.

  • @ccubsfan94 oh, ok. Thanks :)

  • thanks i get it now

  • THANKS YOU HELPED A LOT ! :D

  • Hi.

I have the same switch as you but when my pc shuts down while wired through the box it bluescreens my pc and when I reboot the resolution is all messed up and my monitor says "out of range" when i set the resolution back to what I had it when just my monitor is running.

    Thanks for the help!

BTW. I am running Windows, My Xbox 360 is source B.

  • @hellboy8683 i don't know. i also have a windows computer that i built myself and i had it run on here just fine. i would search some active forums and ask questions to them.

  • what is the resolution?

  • how about sound for your 360?

  • the vga cable you get comes with component red and white (l and r) audio. what i did was i bought an adapter for component red and white to a 1/8 inch speaker connecter. i then just plugged it into a guitar amp. so it runs in a guitar amp

  • hey dude love the video can you plug another vga lead in to the box in to another one of these boxes so you have more monitors running off it?? thanks

  • no. it is a single monitor switchbox. you may be able to find some. search google and amazon. i got mine at amazon for ten bucks. although recently the front knob broke off. it still works just a little hard to turn

  • nice, thanks :)

  • no problem. if you have any more requests just message me

  • ahh shit i kinda fucked the quality up. i know what i did wrong. ill fix it next vid
