Starfleet command is a joke! The "artificial" realism has completely no reference to how battles were done there, and neither is the ballance of ships done right.

I think the last thing a Romulan or any cloaking race should do in combat is frequently turning on and off cloaking device, unless commanding old Romulan series ships. Everything else being equal, a sane captain would want to maintain parity or advantage in maintaining his ship's speed. The AI tend to rely on cloaking device a bit too much; otherwise an AI Romulan would be lot tougher to play against.

I remember my standart tactic against cloaked ships. Right after entering the tactical game going to red alert and warping directly at the enemy. The Romulan are always cloaking after a distance (as seen here). Knowing that some1 could easily go out of warp and fire full spread all forward weapon, bypassing the shields. After that laying a mine and making an overrun. When the mine explodes in to the enemy the cloaked ship is revealed once more. At that time my aft weapon gonna locke on...boom:)

The Warbird normally has no problem plastering it's target. An all weapons volley on the spot pulverizes the fuck out of the target.

@PrivateRouge no. With all of the mods out there, Bridge Commander is much better.

But SFC3 has it's good points too, like the ship customization

Very poor fight. How the hell did your second volly (even if the shields were a little slack - though I doubt it on a Warbird!) - create so much damage? I don't know what kind of a weapon that was - didn't really look quite like a phaser... anyway - the strength of it must have been edited it(?!)

Starfleet should have had that during Wolf 359!!

I beat SFC1 a while ago with all races, it was a good game!. SFC2 EAW was boring, but the graphics were better. SFC2 OP sucked. I don't like plasma torpedos on Federation ships! Give me Overloaded Photon Torps! Just got done installing SFC3!!! Hope it's better than SFC2. The graphics look better, hope the gameplay improved. I hate those missions where you know the objective but you fail because of some minor misunderstood detail.

I that was ok i guess, but i only use klingon ships and a warbird aint nothing really. once you get in their blind spot, their nothing but big targets lol. but your tactics work too. Head strong.

erm the enterprise e is a sovereign-class ship afaik... just like enterprise d -> galaxy-class,

voyager -> intrepid-class etc

Wow that was really bad. You got to hit them with all you can without their shields (decloaking). That alone should have ended the battle. Yet you let them completely drain your starboard shields. And that was with a superior Sovereign class ship against a D'deridex class.

You should be ashamed.

It only takes me a few hits to blow up even a Borg Cube! Then again, I have a Galaxy class variant thats bigger than a starbase and has uberweapons and junk... So yeah.
