Hi. You don't have to swivel the screen if you don't like the glare. You have the DISP. button next to the ISO button. If you press it, the display turns off. It's the substitute for the proximity sensor.

@chentingyu0202 The 600D has a tilt/swivel screen, Scene Intelligent Auto (over the Full Auto of the Canon EOS 550D), Video Snapshot, 18-55mm IS II kit (over the 18-55 IS "1" kit of the 550d if you choose), and a slightly better 1080p HD video with Advanced Movie Crop (1920x1080 or 1080p only.) It just depends if you already have a DSLR. If you already have one, then go with the 550D if you will not need the other features. If this will be your first one, then the 600D is the better pick.
@usernamesareforfools I didn't upgrade cameras because I thought it would be cheaper, haha my T2i broke and the insurance money I payed for it when the T2i was new was the same price as the T3i now. But it was worth it haha
