i have had mirena for about 3 years and i am doing o.k and i really dont have any side affects,and i get it checked out every 6 months..but every body is diffrent with it but i really like it ..but i guess it all depends on what doctor puts it in you...becuase thier is doctors who really dont have any experiance on it ..

I just found out Friday that the IUD I had placed a year ago was placed wrong. He punctured my uterus a year ago. RIght now mine is free floating in my abdomen and is just hangin out next to my small intestines.
I have surgery to remove it on Thursday. I'm suing the SHIT out of my doctor from a year ago.

The copper iud works by killing sperm and theoretically may prevent implantation. The Mirena works by releasing hormones that affect the lining in the uterus.
Don't be stupid, people. Ignorance kills. If you oppose contraception, just say it. Don't lie about facts to women who want to prevent unwanted pregnancy. Isn't it funny how the contraception some conservatives oppose are also the most successful forms?

why would i be lying about such thing like that she had 2 surgeries cause of it and when they did the second time the IUD was next to the intestine and my wife has the scars to prove it
yeah, i did, i would bleed extreamly, i would feel like something was stabbing me inside my pelvic and a lot of cramping, it was a horrible experience that i dont want no one else to experience.
Some women do not get their period after having the mirena for a year. YES you can get pregnant right after the mirena is removed, provided there are no other complications!!

i took it out because i had a lot of pain with it and my period wasnt comeing my stomic got really bloted i took it out and i have been fine after word and got my period like a women should have one becaouse its not narmal to not get one.. its dosnt hurt takeing it out, now i use nuva ring it work really good with me good luck

I also have many friends that got theirs taken out because they where also ready to have more children and they too got pregant right away! hope this helps. i now just got another one put in on Tuesday and am feeling so much better( I was getting headachs from the pills and patches and do not suffer with the Marina!)

Yes they keep women from having a baby but they don't always work. My mom got pregnant with a iud implanted and she had to get it taken out to avoid hurting the fetus.
if an IUD is killing your baby...which is not, i currently have one after having 2 kids...then having your period is killing a baby...still passing an egg right. lol. so is every period like a miscarriage if your sexually active? LOL
The conceptus is not a baby at the time it is stopped by an iud. It is a tiny group of cells smaller than a sesame seed without any brain or limbs or anything.
Also, we don't need montly periods, it doesn't hurt us in any possible way :)

i feel the my iud poking sometime i though it was normal and i dont get my period . can you have kids after you had you iud removed

Yes they keep women from having a baby but they don't always work. My mom got pregnant with a iud implanted and she had to get it taken out to avoid hurting the fetus.
