@wes2705 i have seen Akhtar clock 164Kph, but i think the speedometer has to be a certain certified version, in order for it to count. Those were early days for speedometers and they werent considered to be 100% accurate

Actually Shoaib could be much more distructive than now a days, if he would be bowling with his natural open chest jumping bowling action as he did in his early career and in world cup 1999. But damn, ICC forced him to change his natural bowling action so he lost speed as well as natural skill.

I think they are both greats of their time. Wasim has his era that belonged to him and these guys are currently competing just like wasim did in his early days. Just a thoought that wasim had his head in the right place during his peak but the guyz today are just too into publicity.

if you look at the basic bowling mechanics,lee and shoaib both have proper mechanics to bowl fast.their non bowling shoulder does,nt drop before they plant their leg.(bracewell bowling formula check it out on google). there's a retired left arm bowler wasim akram to him brett lee is the best bowler in the world i read it today ,his interview .
