  • lovely vid

  • cool

  • Yeah !

  • perfecct land : ) :D

  • In fsx when I type in st. Barthelemy it gives me a diferent aiport!! please help!!!

  • wow nice nice, cool aproach !

  • But can you do it at a safe airspeed? Post one where you hold onto target the whole approach and hit ref at touchdown.

  • For your information, that was my second attempt trying to land the 73 there, Im sure if I tried a few more attempts I could make it prettier. It blows me away of the comments by some of the UTube trolls. Personally I think you posted because your bitter after trying the same approach over the last 3 days without even getting close. Ill make you a deal. You post a video of you doing the same approach and just putting your gear down and I will make another with a prettier landing.

  • Buzz, I think you're misunderstanding me. I think you've got a cool hobby there - I'm impressed with your skills. My suggestion was a bit of a challenge to you to perhaps see if you can make an approach and touchdown that would have been safe and realistic in the airplane. The flight dynamics of the sims are not that realistic, sepecially around the "edges".

  • Anybody can float a simulator on the far backside of the power curve, well into the tailstrike envelope, onto the runway.

What I was wondering is can you do that approach and landing flying the sim the same way the airplane would be flown. (As far as airspeed goes - obviously you won't have a stable approach.)

Not calling you out, Just curious to see if you can do it.

  • I dont have time in the 73 series, but I have access to the profiles and I can confirm that without a doubt that this particular approach would be impssible to fly, by the numbers without a 40 knot plus headwind. So to answer your question. I dont think it can be done under normal circumstances and especially considering that the video you saw was with a minimum ZFW and very little fuel. With a typical load it would be impossible to keep from an overun.

  • To answer your question, I can probably make the landing prettier but I doubt the VS at touchdown would be comfortable. The method is using the extremes of a short field landing technique with an airliner. And that technique requires you to stick the landing. I could do the approach into 28 with a comfortable VS. See my 757 video into 28. Im at work now and usually sit down on the sim late at night after a few drinks, but I will take your challenge and post a new video.

  • 1998 to 2002 I made a living as a commercial pilot. Previously type rated in the Brasilia, Jetstream 31 and many hours as a FO in the CRJ and the early Lears, with TT around 2100. I found it hard to support my family as the bread winner post 911 on a regional pilots sallary. I dont fly commercial anymore and almost all my current time is spent in Aerobatic Aircraft. Dont shun the flight models of the well done 3rd party addons. They are much closer than you think. especially for a simulator.

  • This whole time I thought you were talking about the runway 10 approach in the 73, but I just realised you are talking bout the 28 approach. This approach is almost to the numbers and honestly Its at the crest of the drag/power curve and VS at touchdown is good with no tailstrike. So whats the problem? Have a look at all my vids and look at the 73 runway 10 approach into barts and you can contradict that approach all you want. Thats really ugly. ;)

  • but in this aiport boeing 737 landing here?

  • airane arplane

  • WICKED... and FUNNY heheh

  • Great !

  • nice man! Good landning!

  • wow that was really good. 5/5

  • Thanks appreciate it.

  • nice dude 5 *
