for me it was the late great kenny spence ... Mr. m's was my home ... so many , many memories ... i think for the vast majority of us , this record holds some very special moments ... 40 years on but its still in my veins ... C A L .

For me this was a magical, wonderful, and sad song, I remember we would all dance to this knowing it was the end of another terrific nighter. Some say you may not have realised just how special the scene and casino were at the time - but I disagree, most of us knew .

I think the best bit was the run up to the nighter. We would go get a new sole put on your brogues or weaves whatever. Get whatever whiz you could find but as always I had it lol Get the train at Peterborough, meet the Harborough lads and do some swaps for some green and clears for my Blacks, get some more on at Hitchin. Nuneaton and by the tame we got to Wigan we were flying. See if we could get past the hotdog van without a scrap. Or by car we would goto crew services and meet op there. Ahhh!

Tobi Legend "Time Will Pass You By" was first spun at Blackpool and went on to become a Northern Soul anthem. She also recorded as Tobi Lark (of "Happiness Is Here" fame on Topper, another total gem) - I believe her real name was Bessie Watson.
