People give this movie WAY too much shit. I loved this film because of the fact they knew what they were doing. They wanted to make a true eighties action film in 2007. Sure the mass market doesn't have the mental capacity to love the film, but at least people with GOOD taste can remember the good times of TRUE action films.

Die Hard is one of my best movie experiences to date. The crowd laughed and screamed and then cheered at the end. The only slightest problem I had with this film was the fact that the realism was quite low. Then again, as I have said before, if everything were realistic we wouldn't have action movies. The keyboards are called "Air Touch Flexible Keyboards." And they're relatively inexpensive. Around 20-30 usd.

They're also water proof, meaning if you can find a way to use a computer under water, you'll want this keyboard, lol.

Honestly though, they're hard to use because the keys are so hard to push down. But they're awesome, and I personally like them because they're easy to cary and they're light. You can get one off of newegg I'm pretty sure.

The real problem with this film is that it's self-aware, bordering on self-parody. The studio decided to milk the franchise's popularity for all it's worth, resulting in what is essentially a superhero movie. Just as the original Die Hard serves as *the* example of everything an action film should be, this one should serve as an example of how a studio can ruin an un-ruinable sequel (and to a lesser extent, living proof that spectacular CGI can't compete with real tension).

McClane is transformed from the vulnerable everyman cop of the previous films to an invincible, superhuman killing machine. He never expresses any doubt as to what to do next or any fear of, well, anything. As he jumps from semi truck to fighter jet to freeway, McClane comes off looking bored ("Is that your best shot!?").

I really, really wanted to love this movie, but in the end Live Free or Die Hard was a huge disappointment. Don't be fooled by the name, this ain't Die Hard. If you liked the first film or either of the original sequels you're unlikely to enjoy this one. All the grittiness is gone, replaced with a thick coat of gloss. The film is so watered down that even latter half of the trademark 'yippee kay yay, motherf***er' line ended up on the cutting room floor (!).
