I am tired of hearing people doing ASL music. My son is Hard of Hearing and ASL is his first language. My daughter is an ASL interpreter. This is like a a white person trying to sing in Spanish and not doing it well.

@oldgirl6 My husband is deaf and really appreciates anybody trying to sign - especially signing music which is something he's never been able to enjoy until people started signing songs. Just because your son is hard of hearing doesn't mean you know anything about the deaf community because if you did, you would know that they appreciate anybody signing at any level because it shows they care enough to try to communicate with them. P.S. he loved it!

You should not mouth the words as you sign. Big no-no in ASL. My opinion differs from the others here, I guess. I've seen MANY sign language performances and I thought it was dull with little emotion and expression.

@peanutsandcoco Um, no sorry to YOU, but I teach at a Deaf school and my father is profoundly deaf. I'm pretty sure that your few years in ASL class do not qualify you to say what Deaf people do. They make many mouth movements, but they do NOT mouth the WORDS. I stand by my opinion of your signing - dull and emotionless.

@adstargel I don't think that it's about "being proud of being drunk" as much as it is about "being proud that she could do a solid performance and (presumably) get a good grade while drunk".
