I must say. Today, if any guy tried to walk down the street today with long hair and an unbuttoned flannel shirt tucked into tight white jeans the last thing anyone would see was a sex symbol. Great song though.
@MrC0NN0R Starting at the 3:24 mark there are at least 2 different guitars playing: 1 lead and at least 1 rhythm, probably more like 3 rhythm overdubs.
@Cash2112 It was kind of a joke, you know, like overdubbed, as in overdone, or something, cause its not, its perfect, I guess. Some bullshit like that. Anyway you are right, but I wasn't serious.
No offence, but, in The 70's, I liked Badfinger better. Don't get me wrong, Bad Company has it's place. As for me, this band doesn't turn my crank. Just saying.
@kja427 Oh, I'm a big fan of Badfinger also "Baby Blue" is still one of my most loved songs but Bad Company is an amazing band! The inteligent love songs powered by Pauls powerful, perfect voice smoulders and as a female that makes for a slow burn that has no equal! Pauls voice is pure liquid sex!
I remember my older sister playing this album all the time when I was a young lad! They were definitely the best kind of rock and roll band there could be--great vocals with great music to songs they believed in! BobbyK
This is what is missing. Rock today is a bunch of CRAP and has not alot of talent either. WHERE IS THE TALENT AND THE ABILITY in playing a bunch of power chords or turning the gain all the way up on your amp? Bad Company had it all. The sound, the feel, and most of all the JAM. We definitely need to revive the sounds of past.
I really do not see why people like this, I don't think it was a great song. Just cause it has the words, "feel like making love" doesn't mean it is good. Sounds more like wishful thinking when they were so drunk and drugged out to get it up.
@dstemper01 I don't see why you have to come in here and be such a downer on such an amazing song. keep your negative thoughts to yourself, or please leave. Some of us like this song.
I used to have the Lp of this track....My stupid ex trashed it in 2000. Music changes every ten years. People give birth and sadly music listeners die. If current music doesn't appeal to you then support the former bands when they go on tour. Record executives are Jerks..and only want weak vocally,,over produced artists. Youth Never promises twenty years or more $uccess?
yall say bad music, i agree. im 16 and i prefer this over most. but what they do today shouldnt be called music. i mean how many rap songs have real instruments playin the rhythm in the song. most often its a computer makin the noise.
@77splitbumper or they sample actual GOOD music... Like the Amen break. The most famous 6 second loop in HISTORY, which became the basis for ALL hip hop beats, drumnbass, etc. Just because a computer is used to produce a song doesn't make the song bad. Especially when you consider the inspiration for most of those songs came from older, grittier, real instruments. You wanna talk about how today's music sucks? Then talk about autotune. But leave the computers out of it.
@49dollardesign It takes a lot more talent and work to know how to play in instrument and/or sing than it does to run a friggin computer. Sampling? Give me a break, they might as well try and steal the whole song. It ruins it. That is just my opinion.
@ChrisAmazon Sorry man, I was just ruffling feathers. But honestly if not worshiping this has-been makes me retarded then I guess it's time to go buy a helmet. Because there's more to life than reminiscing about the good old days and watching horrible 70's pop-rock. This is the type of crap the fat rednecks sing in bars on karaoke night while drinking their sorry lives away.
@49dollardesign it's also the kind of song to be enjoyed by people who appreciate star talent, beautiful sounds, life, love and the finer things. Your redneck/alcohol comment obviously reflects your very subjective and limited view of the world. Maybe get some travelling and reading done to open up and help that incredibly complex and wonderful thing in your head called a brain to blossom.
Mmm, this song takes me back to one of the most wickedly righteous nights of my life. It's the quintessential pleasure ballad, and I'm damn grateful to Facebook that an old "friend" was able to find me recently which has this great band, this amazing song making my body hum again.
I love this song, when I hear it on the radio I just start swaying to it. also one of the best sex songs too. ;) I'm glad you can still hear this on the radio.
But then there's that song by Mac Davis called "Oh Lord It's Hard To Be Humble", where near the end he sings a line that goes "I guess it's got somethin' to do with the way that I fill out my skin tight blue jeans"
Me and my band tries really hard to do a cover to both this song and "Cant get enough". But daaamn, its not easy to be as awesome as paul rodgers and Bad company
I remember when this song came out. I got this album for Christmas the year it came out. This is off the Straight Shooter Album and every song on it is great.
Why did the 70's have to go and bring in all this pop shit? I'm from the new generation, but I know what good music is compared to the bad music. And this, my friends, this is good music. :)

You are so right TheBryntabaird! I was raised in the 60s 70s when music was music. I cannot stand the crap that's on today. What's a Bieber?? PIMP!!!!
Whoa... I'm gonna get flamed, but is this Milli Vanilli on the lead? That was recorded from the studio version. Nice try with the harmonica..... But that is a Strat playing and it's a double lead. And who is playing the rhythm guitar on the outro????
@leighlov68 Who was playing the power chords when Mick was playing the lead lines in the outro???? You seem to know so much about guitar playing? There are three instrument players and a vocalist. There is bass, drums, rhythm guitar, and lead guitar playing the song out..... Dude, back then, those guys did overdubs in the studio and couldn't do it live. natural fact. Just watch the year 2000+ versions, and they have a 2nd guitartist because people are wiser.
I've played guitar for 35 years. The harmonica was for slight of hand. Watch Mick's hands, he's faking it. Ask any guitar player if they believe that lead was live...There's no way that Flying V had a Strat position 4 sound. Any guitar player knows what the 5 way switch in position 4 sounds like. You can't get that sound on 2 humbuckers in a Flying V. I *OWN* a Flying V and 3 other Gibsons, an original BC Rich Bich, a Strat and a Tele... It’s overdubbed.
