This must be one of the few times where they give a guy a Lifetime Achievement award BEFORE he produces the greatest, most creatively sustained and versatile work of his life. This was 1994 and it seemed like after Unforgiven Clint would just go off and quietly retire. That at least was the expectation from observers. Little did any of us know that Eastwood was just getting started.
At last I've been looking for this footage for a long time. When I heard Clint's humorous comments I wondered was he hinting that Arnold was his choice to succed him in the Action Genre
@razbigranicu I am guessing you're a democrat :P but you should look further then the choise of someone's party. You shouln't label people that is just wrong + totally unnecessary.
Though I had seen all his western spaghetti movies and the Dirty Harry series, I started appreciating his talents both as an actor and director, later on. Clint Eastwood matured with age and as the director of 'Million Dollar Baby'showed us how versatile he his !
Yes Sir, you are the greatest after Marlon, and thats for me as small as ever. The man with no name.Long live CLINT EASTWOOD the great actor Director.
How many men do you know who could get away with calling Arnold Schwarzenegger "my son"?

yeah, I highly doubt Clint Eastwood was Arnold's boyhood idol
shim2dawg 6 months ago
@shim2dawg It's not possible anyway, because Clint did not become a star until the late 1960s -- when Arnold was in his early 20s.
