Here 2 thing to make your h/p faster each time u open it :

1) Delete useless folders pictures anything from desktop .. The more files you have the slower it will be .. ( delete everything )

2) For screensaver ( in your desktop ) put something with less colours and simple ...

yOu will see ur h/p after 30 minutes to run 30% faster ....
