Actually I was joking, if you watch the python scetch "Dirty Fork" you will see thatone of the charicters says something very similer to my comment. But, whilst I have over exsatureated the situation so much that it's gone though the other side and fallen off I do feel alot of american comedies are dribble. (Exceptions to this are : My Name is Earl, Futerama and The Simpsons before 2000 or so.)

Ah yes, but I out of todays british comedies I watch the intellectual stuff, e.g. QI, Have I got news for you, Whose Line is it anyway, the friday night comedy podcast and That Michell and Webb show. Other good American comedies are: Fraser, Gary Larsen cartoons and maybe Two and a half men but I haven't watched it ( the same goes for M*A*S*H.)
