  • lyrics sound kinda like imposible

  • @1girlrevalution you are right. "wearing you out/wearing you down" was used again in "Impossible" :(

  • If only they had enough B-side songs to make just a B-side album =/

  • I would actually be very upset if they were to get famous. YES, of course they deserve to be well known, but the radio would either overplay it, or change it up. Or both. Personally, i think they're to good for that. :)

  • Lol wow this describes perfectly my reliationship with a girl. We're like really close friends, and I love her. But if I tell this to her it might ruin the great friendship... And at the same time, I can never resolve myself to give up on her and always end up crawling back. My other friends tell me i should forget her but i don't listen to them, i just cant... <3 this song

  • great song!

  • GREATEST BAND ON PLANET EARTH!!! class dismissed

  • I HATE HOW THE WORLD REVOLVES AROUND SEX AND DRUGS!!! the only reason this band isnt famous is becuase they dnt talk about sex, drugs, nore money. they arent the type of music tht would be famous jst because of that. i bet if they made jst a 2 minute song about sex then they would be as famous as lil wayne and young money. :l

  • @TheRockngrl98 I completely agree with you!

The whole reason I like Anberlin (aside from the basic "they sound good") is because of their lyrics. They do mention sex and drugs in quite a few of their songs, but it's portrayed in a light that shows that it's not all that matters in life / is bad. I wish beautiful artists like this could get more recognition. =/

  • :DDD ANBERLIN~

    Nice Songs

  • Anyone else notice the obvious references to Impossible? Sounds like a Prequel to Impossible

  • @DOA223 nt rlly to me

  • @DOA223 totally! wearing me out, wearing me down

  • The lyrics themselves are brilliant btw. I just think the timber and tone of the voice aren't enough to make someone crazy about only them. The main force to make fame is 1. really crazy fans, and 2. people who buy lots of songs from everywhere. This band has number 2, and probably a good amount of number 1. But I wouldn't go to see a concert with just Anberlin. I would go if some more bands that I knew were there as well.

Just my opinion by the way.

  • @FarazR2 I went to an Anberlin concert last month and it was awesome!!!

  • I highly doubt the fact that they're Christian isn't the reason they're famous.

I mean, their guitar work is very interesting, especially in terms of how they intentionally use dissonant chords then resolve nicely. The drumming isn't that different from basically any other drumming in the genre, and neither is the vocal. The vocals are good, but they don't really stand out THAT much. I'm definitely adding them to my collection, but it's not unique enough to be super famous.

  • @FarazR2 then who is? (please dont give me sum crappy rock and roll band jus sayin lol)

  • beggining reminds me of a song by Yellowcard. almost same exact thing. almost a rip off lol

  • they are already famous..lol

  • this song should have been on the album

  • Noticed how the whole lyrics "just keep wearing me out, but im wearing you down" at 0:44 is the same as the lyrics for the new single 'Impossible'?

  • @ElmosNo1 anberlin repeats song lyrics in a few of their songs.

Impossible and Said and Done share the "just keep wearing me out, but I'm wearing you down"

But so does Dance Dance Christa Paggen and both Feel Good Drag songs. "Lips that need no introduction"

  • No one should have to give up their faith just to be famous, I'd rather be the most unknown person in the world than to give up on my Christianity.

  • more educated(good education) less you are religious = smarter you are = more scientific is your opinion and your perception of things....all that to say that the day they'll stop being christian they'll be famous as they deserve...

  • I honestly don't know why people can't hear the complete rip-off they made of that riff. That Foo Fighters album: "Nothing Left to Lose" came out in 1999. A lot of people listen to the Foo Fighters, and should be able to recognize how it sounds exactly the same. I love Anberlin, don't get me wrong, but this song is just Live-in Skin reincarnated. If you have never heard that song before in your life, check it out on youtube.

  • @SeanJHagan1 Wow, I can kind of hear it... it is in a different key however. That is really somethin'. :/

  • They copied the beginning off of an old Foo Fighters song "Live-in Skin." All they did was sped up the tempo and there you have it.

  • Lookie, someone missed the like button.

  • Okay, seriously, who in their RIGHT MIND put a thumbs down on this video?!

  • Such an amazing song ♥ I didn't even know it was a B-side until now. It's kind of strange how this isn't on the A-side...

  • This SO reminds me of New Found Glory. So cool. (And maybe a little bit of Four Year Strong... without some double pedal action) lol =P

  • HOW DID I NOT KNOW THERE WAS A DELUX EDITION.

this is the most exciting news since...ever.

    <3

  • Lovin the drums on this track.

  • Anberlin's Songs Are The Best

  • the should have included this song on the A-side of the album instead of 'feel good drag', i reckon.

  • the sad thing is that since they have Christian backgrounds they will never be famous until they make a song about drugs or sex. what a pathetic standard

  • @squirrelshooter15 true true, but look at it this way. They don't need that kind of publicity. Theyre an amazing band already for their powerful lyrics and catchy songs. I just recently becamse a fan and theyre a fantastic band, Youu wouldnt want them to change just for publicity would youu?? :)

  • @Booby825, thats what im saying. they wont be famous until they make dirtier songs, and they just arent gonna do that

  • yeahh I know what youu mean. Let's hope that they dont stoop to that level and actually make an annoying song about drugs sex or anything else that all songs are about nowadays

  • What are you talking about? They are pretty famous

  • @squirrelshooter15 I'm ok with them not being as famous as other bands because once you get famous radio stations overplay their songs and you lose interest in the band. I dont think u want that.

  • @squirrelshooter15 they still go on warped tour though. that is mainstream! still hope dont worry (:

  • @squirrelshooter15 they are famous though o.O

about 3/4 of my school knows them

  • @squirrelshooter15 Actually, they do have some songs with subtle themes involving drugs and sex. And even if they aren't THAT famous (yet?), at least they have quality music, right? :)

  • @samastarr

Definitely true. Half of anb's fans stay with them for their lyrics. There are few bands that can meet their lyrics halfway, but they do, and then some.

  • @squirrelshooter15 And because they play punk/rock music. You have to be auto-tuned shit or Lady Gaga to be popular anymore.

  • @squirrelshooter15

in my opinion they shouldnt lower their standards to become famous i like them just the way they are bands arent as good when they are like really popular i mean some are but it kinda ruins alot of bands! just my opinion

  • @squirrelshooter15 they played at warped tour... all their songs have 10,000 to 50,000 views... how famous is famous?

  • @enjoibitch I agree and disagree... sure that is a lot of views, but come on, they have Blueprints for the Black Market, Never Take Friendship Personal, Cities, Lost Songs, Blueprints for City Friendships, New Surrender A+B Side, and now Dark is the Way, Light is a place. Every Album from them is amazing, They are a hundred times better than half the bands out there, they should be on top. especially with songs like "Breaking", "Feel Good Drag", "Paper Thin Hymn" , "Cadence", "Adelaide", Ect.

  • @squirrelshooter15 umm, Switchfoot, Lifehouse????

  • @esptool lol yea ikr

  • @esptool lol yea ikr..!@

  • @squirrelshooter15 that is so true...... christian artists are never recognized for their true talent because a lot of people wont listen to them, take pillar for example

  • @cray7z7ppl Over the years, many fans, critics, and other members of the media have consistently characterized Anberlin as a Christian band. However, Stephen Christian stated in an interview that their faith is more complicated than a simple label: "I think we're categorized like that a lot because we're on Tooth & Nail Records, which, years ago, was known as a Christian label and never lost that reputation.

  • @cray7z7ppl I don't care who listens to our records. If it helps people in whatever circumstances they're in, that's amazing, but I definitely don't classify us as a Christian band." Elsewhere, Christian has remarked, "[My faith] affects every single aspect of my life, but I'm not a preacher, I'm an entertainer."

  • @ClNNAMON Yeah, I've heard that before, that the members are religious but the band itself was meant for entertainment. When i commented on this, I didn't realize that fact. i was just agreeing to the fact that a lot of people don't want to listen to things that aren't glamorizing cursing and drug or sexual things, ect. and i was using Pillar as an example of that. thanks for your thought out reply, and not for getting mad because I said tehy were christian, ive had people freak at me before. :D

  • @squirrelshooter15 oh well.. Switchfoot has good fan base. and they don't need fame. remember.. they DO have a fanbase.

  • Why in the world did they not include this song on the actual CD? For me personally, this is the best Anberlin song. I also think this song has the most potential to reach a wider audience, the music business is a strange beast.

  • Great band i swear they need to be famous... i mean NOW!

  • @xHajime I agree, but they are getting more famous. New Surrender was a big step up for them because they are no on Universal Republic instead of Tooth & Nail Records

  • Yeah, these guys are pretty good. Too bad they will never be able to get past all Compound Lockdowns on the charts. It's a strange world.

  • @xHajime they are soo good you are100% right man

  • @xHajime they are famous

  • @xHajime

    They are famous already!

Their Christian following is about as legit a genre as you'll ever need, let alone the mainstream following they'll get and are getting now.

  • @xHajime No, you mean they should've been back in 2003 :D

  • I love Anberlin, but I hate any band that rereleases an album with an extra two songs or videos or whatever, because then I feel like an idiot for rushing out and buying the album early.

  • Lol, you know what's funny? you can just sit here and listen to their songs here on youtube instead of buying their cd and save alot of money, it's also not illegal.

    /wink.

  • but you'll never get the actual stuff of buying the album. sometimes albums contain awesome art work and stuff of the sort.

  • true, but then again, I've got no room for artwork and such, I do my own drawings and what not. I see your point, though I'd rather not pay a penny for something in which you can get for free, on youtube and what not.

  • true, and i hear you on that. but being a musician myself, i think it's best when people buy their albums. it helps the bands out a bit.

  • i went to that concert to. I loved anberlin and all american rejects. Taking back sunday sucked though.

  • I saw these guys last Thursday, it was amazing, I also saw taking back Sunday and they were awesome too, all American rejects were there but I don't like them and they're music didn't go with the other 2 bands

  • If you go to Anberlin's website they have the free download of this song in High def.

  • Where abouts? I can't find it.

  • Google "Anberlin Said and done Download" and choose the first one. From there it will link you to their website. I noticed their website has changed a bit.

  • I think you could only get this on the CD if you bought it at Wal-Mart. Totally irritates me, I work for the world's largest electronics retailer, and I would have had to get the CD from Wal-Mart exclusively. Had to do the same to get the Special Edition of "The Best Yet" -Switchfoot

  • what is with all this B-Side stuff? is there some other disc sold somewhere that I'm somehow unaware of? Seriously, how are we supposed to get this music?

  • Wow that guitar riff makes this song a million times better.

  • what does it mean by (B-side)

  • Anberlin is just amazing.

    Lyrically, and musically. <3

  • I think New Surrender is the best album yet. ANBERLIN IS GREAT! FAV BAND.

I love songs like Blame me Blame me and Soft Skeletons cuz well, his voice is falsetto, so...alternative and soft would be the best.

  • this is the only b-side song i can't find to download! grrrr. did someone find it?

  • Fucking.... I love this. This is epic. And the perfect blend of rock with their intro, yet a nice paced alternative with the lyrics and rhythm.

GAH! I'm not doing this song any justice! It's just great.

  • Where could I get New Surrender with all the b-sides?

I tried Amazon haha help is appreciated!

  • torrrent

  • Can anybody give me a list of all the songs on the b-side?

  • me too :)

  • A Perfect Torniquet ( it is on New Surrender (UK) )

    Said and Done

    Heavier Things Remain

    :)

  • check the wiki article on the record

  • awesome <3. every song from anberlin is awesome ^^

  • agreeeeed! <3

  • It sounds like a switchfoot song at the beginning! I think like "Meant to Live" or something.... but I love Anberlin and their songs&lyrics <3

  • Listen to Yellowcard's "Sure Thing Falling."

All three songs - this, YWCD, Switchfoot - sound the same... crazy!

  • Funny cause i thought the same thing lol

    Awesome song though.

  • love this song

  • Oh I thought this was fake at first lol :)

  • I wish they would release all the b-side songs to download so I don't have to get on youtube when I want to listen to them haha.

  • tehorng . com

  • Hey thanks I've been looking for something like this :)

  • ...or you could get this song legally by buying the Wal Mart version of the cd...that's how i got it...

  • Be realistic, señor. Nobody does things "legally" anymore; it's simply no fun.

  • well, i'll live my life being no fun. too bad no one else wants to be boring...

  • So I have to buy the Best Buy version for the DVD, and the Wal-Mart version for the B sides? Or, how about I don't pay for the same CD twice?

  • idk, i'm just saying the right way to do it. i think people down lower on the comments said that this is on the Best Buy version.

    do whichever you want.

  • Yea, that is the legal way to do it, but I bought the cd once already the day it came out. So theres no way in hell im going to buy it again for one song. Im all for not stealing music, but exclusive songs for different retailers is bs.

  • @zsmith816 i totally know what you mean. im definitely stealing skillets "live free or let me die." only available on the deluxe or live version of comotose, which i already have the original version of. but can this be legally downloaded?

  • @totalfenderfan @zsmith816 you'll have to forgive me, but this sort of an attitude pisses me off to no end. You feel it's unfair, so that justifies breaking the law? You can't put a price on integrity, right? apparently, though, $15 is just a *little* too much to pay for honesty and integrity.

  • how many cd do amberlin have?

  • 4 main releases. 1 b-sides.

  • if someone has this song could they please send it to me somehow! i really love it, and really love anberlin.

  • ...b side?

    oh where have I been.

    xD

  • what is b-side? i dont get it...

  • Songs that don't make it the actual album, so they are extras.

  • yeah i found out rite after i posted this but thx thought

    :)

  • Great Song!

Where did you find that picture?? (i want to set it as the album cover for all my anberlin b-side songs)

  • anyone know where i can download this?

  • ... this song is AWESOME!!!!!

  • that opening does sound a lot like cut me mick but its a good song regardless all of the b-sides should be released

  • agreed

a possible lost songs 2 could be much later on in the future?

  • thatd be pretty good id buy it

  • sounds like stars but this is a good song. this, perfect tourniquet and heavier things remain shouldve been on New Surrender I think

  • i love this song it was better than the resistance.

  • Yeah DEFF Yellowcard like!

but i still love both bands so much

  • I know! right in the middle is when it started to sound like cut me mick to me anyways

  • Is anyone else reminded of Yellowcard instrumental-wise?

  • Haha yeah, Yellowcard was the first thing I thought of when I heard the intro to this song.

The intro is totally a ripped off version of "Cut Me Mick". Haha!

But the rest of this song is quite cool, so I still give Anberlin a thumbs up.

  • as soon as i first heard it "i thought cut me mick" as well, still a really badass song though.

  • Yeah, dood!

That was totally like YWCD! Not the exact same, but similar to both Cut Me, Mick as well as Sure Thing Falling from Lights and Sounds

  • so awesome!! :D I love anberlin best band ever!!

  • Awesome song!

Anyone think that the guitar intro sounds similar to 'Stars' by Switchfoot?

Have a listen to both of the intros to these songs!

    But awesome song!

  • You are right, it sort of does.

Switchfoot is an awesome band as well.

  • Comment removed

  • this should have been the opener for the album!

  • loooooove iiittttt :D

  • this is pretty good. gotta love anberlin <3

  • i'm digging the guitars in this.. God i love anberlin.

  • same for me. i gotta get this song

  • Can you give me a Mp3 version of these one(link or something)

  • Wow! Why wouldn't they put this on the album???

  • if you buy New Surrender from walmart you can get it on the album plus like some dvd commentaries or somethin' :) Good stuff

  • i bought it from best buy, and i got a dvd with it. then i uploaded it to youtube :D

  • really? I thought you could only get this song from their walmart album. huh....good to know thanks :)

  • yeah, it's only from the walmart album

  • this so deserves to be on the album

i think i would take this over the Resistance as an opening track. they're both similar styles, and i can see them opening an album. on my custom mix this is gonna be my new opening track ^_^

  • the resistance is phenomenal. this song is good too. but in all honesty i can see why it didn't make the album.

  • lindo

  • the intro reminds me of stars by switchfoot. but i love it

  • thanks for putting this up! i really was dying to hear this, and since i already bought two copies of the album, i doubt i'll be getting this song anytime soon, so this is just as good

  • yes!! thank you for this!!!!

  • hey thank you soooo much for posting this, I've been looking all over for it!!!
