Karita is so coy here... and finally Dmitri inches her off the stage... very subtle. Nicely done...not to forget the great combination of their voices.
Hvoro is so confusing to me. Sometimes he is wonderful, and others...not so much. I'm not really a fan of his here. I've never been much of a fan of hers. I like his performance with...Angela K.
I agree, DV is no match for Terfel as a seducer - either in acting or vocally. There is no subtlety or modulation. He just "belts" it out.

Let's mix eras----- what about the duet with Sayao and Dmitri or Reri Grist with Dmitri-- or Fleming with Pinza and Matilla with London--still great

his Onegin recording complete with Shicoff as Lensky is very good also.

Although I'm not very fond of neither of the two, Matilla's pianissimi here are just divine.

I'm not a fan of Karita Matilla, and her dress/makeup is a bit distracting. I think the only Zerlina I ever saw that I really liked was Andrea Rost!

Si Hvorostovsky realmente fuera Don Giovanni, yo no dudaría ni tantito :P

Karita was a vety pretty woman when she sung Elisabetta in the Chatelet's French Don Carlo.
Hvoro IS Don Giovanni. And he's so cute with Karita...
The voice... oh my God, if Mozart could hear this...

There's a cut here! What happened?

What's with the strange cutting? Hvorostovsky is strangely sedate here which interesting. I like the ending.
