Cinema 4D Modeling 02 - Add Point, Bridge, Close Polygon Hole, Create Polygon, Knife

been looking for a tutorial on how to delete a cut line.. without having to undo to the point where i made the mistake.. because i already made some other stuff after it and later realized it messed up the surface

SOoo any way of just selecting a knifed/cut line and just deleting it?

@AndreDeLay The simplest way I’ve found to do that is just select the unwanted edges and Shift+Click on the Use Point Tool selection mode (which selects corresponding points). Go back to Edges, Right-Click-->Melt (or U~Z). The edges are gone, but the points remain, but you’ve already got them selected! Go back to Points and just hit Delete! Shat should do the trick, let me know. :)

@074377623 Nope. I’ve lived in Texas all my life. Now, assuming he’s in his 50s or roughly so and his father had a brother with the name RL (literal first name), the might be a possible correlation.

Very good tutorial - I was only looking for a shadow tutorial (playing with HDRI) and its driving me nuts - but your Bridge and knife tutorial are very informative (visually) too!

@2spoons Thank for the encouragement! I plan to add examples of lighting scenarios to my light tutorials when I finally do something with my models. If nothing else, need to make some still renders!

@2Consoles1Game Almost forgot about your comment. If by “downz” you mean Down Syndrome, then no. If you’re curious about this on account of my speech, don’t let it fool you. I’m currently a full time student at UTD with over 150 credit hours and blessed with maintaining a 4.0. However, I am very meticulous which may account for why I may seem slow at times. Now, I was diagnosed with Tourette's in my childhood, which may at times show in my speech, but it certainly doesn’t slow me down.

@2Consoles1Game Well, the purpose of my current modeling videos is to explain what the tools do and. Do you mean a tutorial over /how/ you’d use those tools to model? If so, then that would really be dependent on what’s being modeled and one’s style and tool preference. That isn’t to say I couldn’t demonstrate my own methods and present other methods of modeling a given person, place, or thing. I’m mainly familiar with character modeling. Can you clarify or elaborate your question?
