I saw it in 2008 in Budapest and both actors improved in their roles so it was much better than in this video in my opinion. For the ending I like the vienna ending better in musical way (how it turned to an instrumental of Vertrau in uns/Only love) and the ending with the candles...well it's big, awful Kitsch, but fits the glorified Love story the whole musical is based on. On the other hand the Budapest ending points more to the historical facts and has the puppet player in it^^
i am looking for the lyrics to this song and no matter how hard i try i can't. can someone please post them or send them to me in english would be helpfull. please.
Zsuzsi az egyik kedvenc színésznőm! Ő a legjobb Vetsera Mária. Hihetetlen milyen érzelemmel tudja előadni a dalokat, Árpival pedig fantasztikus párost alkotnak=)
Yes, that's right, because the Hungarian version is after the English promo... and the Hungarian performance was the first in the world, so, the German is after that, but that is another version and translation.
I have this musical now, found a torrent, but they've been screwing with the height, which is better here. It really annoys me so if anyone knows where I can find it with this version(not edited = made smaller in height) please let me know.
This is from a musical, I can assure you :-)! I've seen it several times and my favourite actor plays in it. This song is one of the bests from it, beautiful!
This is so wonderful, I have the song in English and am so in love with it:p I have 4 versions, thanks to someone else on youtube, one sung only by the female lead from the Hungarian production and the ones by Drew Serich and Lisa Antoni
This song in English was pretty much just released as sung by Drew Sarich and Lisa Antoni (sp?) from the upcoming German production. There are 3 versions of it; a pop single mix, a accoustic version and a dance version. When you by the CD, you also get a karaoke/instrumental version. The accoustuc version is somewhere on YouTube under Drew Sarich (I think). Hope this helps you out!

I think it´s a great song, but the Rudolf in this production shpots too loud, he´s crying the whole time.
And the Mary has a great voice, but not for this role.

Wenn ich doch was verstehen würde, ist das der gleiche Text wie in der deutschen Produktion ???
LBsbFOREVER 2 years ago
even if my hungarian is not too well, i guess the lyrics are more like the engllish version than the german one...

Nein, ich denke, die Texte sind nicht die gleiche, aber es gibt einige Teile, wo man sagen kann: es ist ähnlich. :)

Hi!
This language is Hungarian. This Rudolf the Hungarian variant of a musical. Árpád Zsolt Mészáros play Rudolf, Zsuzsi Vágó play Mary.
This musical is beautiful! I love it!!!
