  • Lost in Translation worst movie ever

  • Every movie he as been in has sucked since the 80's movies

  • 1st ever show

  • Caddy shack was good!!!!!

  • uh Bill Murray is alot cooler than you are dude. as for good movies: Ghostbusters 1,2 Stripes, Caddyshacks, Scrooged, Groundhog's day, Lost in Translation etc. maybe you should watch those movies instead of twilight. Bill and Dave are really good friends even here so its not even like an interview for them.

  • @dreamcaster4eva2011 Ghostbusters being good had nothing to do with Bill. And you are correct about Groundhog's day, but the rest of the movies you listed are shit.

  • dude bill murray and david letterman are both hilarious ball busters

  • the two biggest douchbags in hollywood.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia You are an uniformed ass. Just sayin'

  • @Kyrei has Bill made a single good movie?

  • Comment removed

  • @nerdwonder Dane Cook, and Jimmy Fallon are funny

  • @MoldytoasterMedia They are funny to people that dont know what funny is, "dane cook is funny" is what a douche says. if you like dane cook and want to see a real comedian look up louie c k hes the guy dane cook steals his jokes from. I'm sorry you came of age in the 00's. Just Google "wost comedian of all time" Dane will be the number one choice, Fallon who just looks at the camera and laffs will be on the list too.

  • @nerdwonder Louie is a depressed bald fatass. Dane is funny. Sorry if you're too much of a pretentious comedy snob to enjoy him.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Yeah i expect comedians to be funny and original its called skill, then they DESERVE fame. The only people that like dane cook girls with a crush who dont care what hes saying and douche bro frat-boys. I am assuming you're either one.The rest of the world sees Dane cook as a hack, especially his fellow comedians. Jimmy Fallon and Dane cook huh, i bet your into carrot top and a big jersey shore fan too wish there was less of you so we could have some real funny again.

  • @nerdwonder did you laugh a single time during this video?

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Yeah, Bill Murry is actual acting here, like a jackass, its just an interview. If you didn't laugh your ass off more than once during Ghostbusters....I'd say your a Dane Cook fan.

  • @nerdwonder Ghostbusters < Dane Cook

  • @MoldytoasterMedia whatever, admitting your a dane cook fan is admitting you dont know funny end of story. your current statement cements that. You have every right to enjoy eating the plateful of crap dane serves up and calls comedy, ignorance is bliss.

  • @nerdwonder Alright, well enjoy Garfield, and Garfield A Tail of Two Kitties.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Mystery Men is the only movie with dane cook that can be enjoyed, worst part of mystery men, dane cook.

  • @nerdwonder "i'm not wearing shoes, no just kidding i am wearing shoes." Is that suppost to be funny?

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Is waiving your arms all around like a lame white boy that wants to be a black rapper supposed to be funny?

  • @nerdwonder dude, don't be racist.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia I'm not, lame white boys that want to be stereotypical black gangstahs exist, by the thousands, dane cook is their hero and anyone is free to observe what a joke they are. You're clueless on lots of levels huh? Want to see funny? Do a Google image search for "unfunny comedians" Guess who's number one? That's funny! h*t*t*p:*//tinyurl*com/3e7czho

  • @nerdwonder Groundhogs day was good. Other than that, just nothing worth watching.

And Letterman's whole show is just an hour long commercial for whatever his guests are selling, mixed with recycled jokes that get told over and over again.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Murry is a comedic artist that's made some shitty movies. Cook is a shitty comic that's made only shitty movies, when hes not the worst of a good one. Letterman is the grandfather of modern late talk shows, has the balls to call celebs on their bullshit and is not afraid of controversy. Jimmy Fallon is some guy that got big with the masses by looking at the camera and laughing, sucks up to everyone, does whats expected of him. You can call turds gold but they're still turds..

  • @nerdwonder Also, Fallon has The Roots. Honestly, that's the only thing keeping him going at this point.

  • @MoldytoasterMedia Are you fucking kidding me? You've obviously never seen "What About Bob?".

  • @TheMadRabbi666 What About Bob sucked

  • @MoldytoasterMedia It's a shame you think that:/

  • What the hell is bill murry talking about?

Without the hair letterman sounds exactly the same,. How about 20 years later he has a kid.

  • There's a lot of Chris Elliott as "The Guy Under the Seats" here from about 2:45 on, years in advance.

    Particularly ar 5:02:

"I swear, Letterman, if it's the last thing I'm gonna do, I'm gonna make every second of your life, from this moment on, a living hell."

  • hes so stoned .hahaha

  • shows how comedy has changed with the times...this is still Very Funny, but would not be considered the same way were it to be on today i think

  • weed god murray

i was about 9 ,watching this era of the show, great times even for a kid it molded me into a creep. Letterman 84-88 was key tho.

  • Question: Why are they still waiting for Jesus to come?

Open your eyes, he's already here folks!

  • They gave him this show after he had a morning show that was a riot

  • Bill Murray gives fashion the finger.

  • @paulbongiorno We watch Letterman. Still the King of Late Night. Genius.

  • awesome

  • lol bills such a character

  • if comedy was a religion, bill murray is god.

  • murray is on coke here

  • murray acted like an idiot on this show

  • Weirdest last 4 seconds!!!!!

  • these two are now legends of their own craft. love them and their type of humor.

  • WOW I've never seen a guest on a show take over like Bill Murray did. That was David Letterman's first show and lucky for him he has a good sence of humor. An ego maniac would of thrown a fit. Great Television. Show this in Media School to let a reporter see what can happen to them and how to handle it.

  • Deadpan meet deadpan!

  • i thinhjk he referred to this as his "salt imbalance".

  • What was letterman last words " we gonne brake somethig..?"

  • wasn't he also the first person to go on his show on CBS?

  • Wow they both still had hair!

  • Star Wars theme! The 80's rocked, oh yeah!

  • Classic! Two of the funniest guys around.

  • All Hail Bill Murray. I could watch this again and again and again. And I do.

  • he's high

  • @xanafanadu

of course he was high. it was 1982. i don't believe there was a person in my 1982 graduation class who had not been stoned at least once. ahhhhhhhh.................that fine columbian gold!

  • Cool, its the first show.

  • Holy crap....gotta search for some mister wizard now....

  • I think he maybe on drugs. (That's a joke. I know he's on drugs)

  • I saw this on TV when it was on! God I feel so old.

  • @mixedgrain you are!

  • amazing

  • @WhoTheGreat right. just like how he was awkward during the kaufman and lawler interview, which was completely and totally unrehearsed. what a tool.

  • One of the best comedy actors EVER! It's a shame he' s not starring in any top movies now...!

  • hilarious

  • @WhoTheGreat Letterman is in on the joke. You just dont get it. You got a thumb from me, and it was down.

  • @PodAwful thumbs up to you, good sir! i was about to say the exact same thing.

  • this was lettermans first the late show gig

  • @MCBailz You mean "Late Night".

  • HAH. Captain Price looks different in real life.

  • Bill Murray IS Captain America!

  • Liberal hippies!

  • lo mas grande bill murray...living legend

  • @2:50-3 "Well I wish you would quit trying to run my life, Dave" Bill Murray = Funny!

  • No one will ever believe you.

  • @micahw83 Haha who told that joke?

  • Why did Jcguider get thumbs down? This is definitely scripted. Still great though

  • @jwild611 hadda herda

  • What a great classic.

  • I've never seen Dave look so nervous. Bill looks like he snorted a few rails before coming out. you can still see traces of Hunter in his mannerisms from WTBR

  • "you're a mayor star, and here you are, playing with lintballs..." X D

  • No, Dave is always like that, guarded and ripping the guest if the guest is someone who can take it. And it's not like the 1st Late Show was Dave's 1st show, he'd been around for years already.

  • Letterman är väldigt likt Henrik Dorsin här faktiskt

  • Scrooge!!!

  • What are you talking about? Nearly every single moment of this interview was clearly scripted and well planned. They are doing a comedy bit. So you don't know what you're talking about - which I guess is why you demand positive reinforcement.

  • You have absolutely no proof of any of what you wrote and yet the last part of your comment makes you look superior and intelligent.

    Good for you.

  • What do you mean no proof? Not only is it a well known fact that Dave's guests (probably like all late night guests) are expected to bring pieces to the show to discuss during the interview section, but furthermore, this is clearly a well rehearsed bit.

  • I love when he says "No I mean it." haha

  • The last part of that sounds a bit creepy.

  • That's 1982. That means Bill Murray has been the man for 28 years.

  • "You never missed anybody or anything..."

    He is always funny.

  • haha he's definitely blazed

  • this is daves 1st ever guest on late night

  • who is the original uploader of this ?

  • Murray is just a naturally funny person. Everything that comes out of his mouth is absolute gold. He is either truly genies or blessed, but i think its both. What a gift to humanity.

  • The late great John Belushi was around for ONE more month......

  • Genial!!!

  • bill is on top form

  • lol hes so funny!

  • because he's drunk

  • yea prob. lol

  • Man, Ghostbusters was still two years away. Wow.

  • @Starwind18020 You have to realize Murray was already a big star from Saturday Night Live in 1975. From there he did Caddyshack and Stripes. Both of those movies were huge hits.

  • @Hieronymus14 You have to realize Murray was already a big star from Saturday Night Live in 1975. From there he did Caddyshack and Stripes. Both of those movies were huge tits.

  • @mozfan2436 very huge...did you mean "hits"?

  • Such a great start to the show. Have this on DVD and can watch it over and over.......

  • Funny, but it feels scripted.

  • HES STONED!

  • wow I wasn't even born for another 4 months then.

  • I love you for putting this up.

  • my two favorite people

  • Mad roles?

    He's off his chops!

  • What a great first-night interview! Bill Murray is on one of his mad rolls, and David Letterman sets him up without batting an eye. Amazing!

  • This is February 1, 1982. Chris Elliot used Murray's "make your life a living hell" quote at the end of every "Guy Under the Seats" segment.

  • So this is what it was like in early 82. John B was still doing speedballs for a month tell march 5. Randy Rhoades was still alive before that HORRID march 19 day in Lakeland. I love 1982. Look at Gordon Smiley's wreck at indy in may.
