What he did was very out of line, the Olympics are the epitaph of sportsmanship and dedication and he rightfully deserves the life time ban.....but, I can understand why he did. Too many times I've watched refs not assign points that were obviously valid, espescially head kicks, or ignore time outs requested. It is frustrating but whilst others are responsible for assigning points, these things will always happen. At least with the electronic chest protectors things are a little better.

The Cuban athlete was knocked down by the Kazakh exponent. And he sat up on the mat awaiting medical attention.
And since Olympic only allows a minute of rest and medical attention , the Cuban athlete was disqualified when he over limited the given time.
Ah , most of the sports governing bodies are all corrupted and only wished to see the results that they want. Not what is good for the sport or athlete that had trained in and out with sweat blood and tears.
I do not the specifics of this case, and I do not think that violence against a referee is the answer. However, I gotta say that many times and in all sports referees get away with really bad stuff and all they get is a slap in the wrist. That goes to show that there is HUGE corruption in sports' governing bodies. So why do athletes get suspended and banned and why do referees keep their jobs?
But in this specific case Matos did take too long. Rules says he have one minute to take care of any injury or whatever it may be. I know that both Matos and his trainer have knowledge of that rule. The referee did everything correct. Matos didn't, and acted like my three yar old son. Put in other words, at his age he acted like an idiot. Poor excuse of an athleet and man.

No - it wasn't. It was made so people could learn how to breath out while attacking, instead of holding your breath like most people naturally do. I do not the specifics of this case, and I do not think that violence against a referee is the answer. However, I gotta say that many times and in all sports referees get away with really bad stuff and all they get is a slap in the wrist. That goes to show that there is HUGE corruption in sports' governing bodies. So why do athletes get suspended and banned and why do referees keep their jobs?

But in this specific case Matos did take too long. Rules says he have one minute to take care of any injury or whatever it may be. I know that both Matos and his trainer have knowledge of that rule. The referee did everything correct. Matos didn't, and acted like my three yar old son. Put in other words, at his age he acted like an idiot. Poor excuse of an athleet and man.
