Wow sum peepz on here r stupid if u look at the rules of how to play original 5card stud there is no blinds or antes it's the hi-card is a forced bet at the start u dnt know anything about poker all u know is holdem LOL this is real poker u might b able 2 ply HOLDEM but i bet u wud suk @ NL 5card stud.
One of my favourite poker scene in history although the poker scenes from the feature length drama Catherine Cookson's The Gambling Man was awesome too.:)
@DreadnoughtD01 how can it be anyone's "favorite". Not only is there the cringe-inducing "I call, and raise X" but also "I raise everything I have" then the villain says "I call that, and raise another 5000" I mean this is stupid, table stakes makes so much more sense, otherwise villain could say "I raise another 5 million".
And to top it off, the villain chased HORRIBLY bad ... and got congratulated for it. (and The Kid got insulted for being "rivered"). Laughable scene.
@thousandcardstare DreadnoughtD01 is right. No serious game could ever be played that way. He failed to mention that they played with no antes or blinds. That is inane. Beyond inane. The amazing thing is that they claimed to have a poker technical adviser.

@simonjeste you might not like the rules, but that's how people played poker for a long time, open stakes.
anyone who really plays poker knows that the kid is the real winner, and you can tell that when you hear lady fingers's reaction.
