  • remake sucked ass too depressing almost like twilight

  • is ssso sad that they made better movies in the 80's then now. The director now should be ashamed of themselves.

  • Wow this scene is just as good now as it was back then. No one had ever done anything like that before with her on the ceiling. I love from the backyard to the alley and back in the yard and then in her room. The whole sequence is just terrifying. Imagine watching that in 1984. My brother said this scene scared everyone in the theater so bad that some people got up and left.

  • Stupid remake

  • scariest horror film scene

  • So she died by falling onto the bed?

  • @t0036028c The best guess would be prolly be blood loss. He cut her right in the chest, stomach, many other times on the arms and legs. That is many places to get cut in, especially the chest and stomach he did it right through them like it was nothing. xD

  • This brings back so many memories! I used to watch this all the time when I was little. I showed it to my friend and after that her mom didn't want her to come over anymore. XD What a sick little child I was...

  • thumbs up if you went back to 1:38 to see if it shows nips

  • This scene was done so beautifully. Why is it that the remake didn't have a single scene that could compete with the original? Despite this being made in the 80's?

Hollywood tries too hard these days, or maybe it doesn't try hard enough. Goes to show that cheap tricks are sometimes better than CGI.

  • That was messed up sh*t there

  • i totally like the remake more

  • Seriously, the way that he runs at her for the first time is just as scary to me as the crabwalk in the exorcist. That was also the moment I realized Freddy was the best!

  • 1:12

  • this is so much better than the remake. i miss the bed geyser...

  • Im a 90's young guy, and I love to see the original movies. In my personal view, I like the remake the best, but I got to admit that the original is pretty damn good too. Considering the special effects back then, they did a pretty good job. I just love these types of scary movies, they almost make the monsters look like Heroes, well... you know what I mean.

  • The image of Freddy's skull is one that has remained prominent in my nightmares to this very day.

  • watched this when i was 10, and 20 years later, i still find that FUCKING HARDCORE. i felt bad for that poor girl...

  • Yeah kill the bitch,Freddy.

  • i hate the faggy remake, the biggest problem for me is that in the original he just really wanted to kill them because of the past and wes craven never made it as if he was a pedo, while in the remake its because he was purely a pedo... that made it sick and disgusting. also the scene in the remake when you see him die when he was alive make him more sympathetic which is bullshit, Freddy should be scary not pitied.

  • @welshgamer94 Another imbecile who thinks it's okay to insert casual bigoted remarks into totally unrelated sentences. Go ahead, stick a racist slur in there too. You're just as bad as the racists, after all.

  • @welshgamer94 actually Wes Craven made Freddy as a Pedo, and the main charaters were supposed to have around 12 years. But because there was a polemic child molester back then, Wes was afraid that the movie could suffer. So he change the age of the children to around 15 to 18 and put Freddy only as a killer. but you are right about the remake, when he was alive, create a sympathy and almost we wanted him to be innocent and people kill him for misunderstanding. besides Nancy was annoying, useless

  • @welshgamer94 He was made to be a pedo but a child abuse scandal broke out and Bob Shaye made him change him to a child killer. You make it as its ok to kill the kids but not ok to molest them. Both are equal. The reason they made him more sympathetic was cause he was trying to convince Nancy and Quentin he was innocent in order to get them back to the school to make them remember what he did to them. The memories are what fuels him. It shows how amazing JEH is as an actor.

  • @26michaeluk

That's fucked, ain't it? Rape and murder are pretty much the same in my opinion, but I would by FAR would rather have someone pat my genitals or something equally gross when I was ten then have a guy try to butcher me.

  • @SuperWillHatch I know right? Like somehow killing the kids is ok but molesting them is WAY worse lol. Yeah I would agree that I would much rather be molested then murdered. I agree with you totally. I have noticed a lot of people have brought up that him now being just a pedo makes the remake despicable but murdering 20 kids makes the original honorable.

  • Man freddy is my homeboy!!!!!

  • 0:40

    O HAI THERE

  • originals is always the best but it was alright

  • damn...

  • Damn Freddy had his way with Tina brutally murders her and her boyfriend takes the murder rap. anyhow the 2010 remake of freddy sucks total monkey ass.

  • @louky264 the bodybag scene was cool, and the boiler dream. most of the deaths were ok. nothing beats the original, but the remake ws alright

  • this movie is brilliant not just that the kills are awesome and the acting is great, it's that the movie doesn't show you anything graphic (in sexuality i mean) like other movies like friday the 13th. doesn't mean i don't want to watch the latter movie. :)

  • @themeshow1011 I'm not bashing the movie, but to be honest, the acting in some scenes is TERRIBLE, and very rarely is it great- usually par or subpar. Especially this scene. When she sees freddy for the first time in this, she neither appears nor sounds scared. It isn't until she begins running that she does sound scared, and even then she doesn't run like she is scared. When you're scared, adrenoline pumps. When adrenaline pumps, you sprint, not jog. You sprint FAST. Not like what she does.

  • @CompletelyKnife You have to take into account that when you dream, you THINK you're running fast but really are moving in slow motion and Wes Craven wanted to make the dream scenes as real as it can get. Tina, in this particular dream scene, is kinda frozen and thinking that Freddy in front of her CANNOT be real and hence she is "dream" running but trust me, when she looks at Freddy, she's frozen stiff with fear.

  • @CompletelyKnife actually, now that i think of it, the acting in some scenes is terrible. but you've got to admit, the kills are AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

  • I gotta start watching these old school horror movies again.

  • 0:25 i;m sry but i never remembered fred's arms being that long.

  • Seriously what is your problem? cant you spell? Notice how almost everyone's favorite horror movies are from the 80s and 90s, with maybe the exceptions of paranormal and final destination.

Were alive in the 80s? I was... if your under the age of 25 and expect everything to be CGI rehearsed with 20 cameras, go home...

You have some attitude problems if you feel you have to express yourself to a stranger on the internet like this. I suggest you seek help.

  • @NZrukus for you information paranormal and final destination are of the 2000s

  • @messy677ly LoL please just stop talking to me mate! I said that most peoples favorite movies are from the 80s and 90s, with the EXCEPTION.... meaning they were made not made in the 80s and 90s (and it should be obviously after)!!! If your going to try to 'prove people wrong' and 'abuse them', at least read what they have written properly... Man why is you tube filled with such ass holes I will never know

  • @NZrukus sorry, but i was angry for something personal and when i am angry i get mad whit everyone so i would like you i like this movie since i was 3 since this movie came so i like the movie get it

  • this is my table from the best killer from worst

    1.jason voorhees

    2.freddy krueger

    3.michael myers

    4.ghostface

    5.leatherface

    6.chucky

  • i love this movie but i think that in that time,in the 80s they didnt act so good

  • Love the classics, they don't make good Movie Series anymore in the horror section - only comedy horrors or thrillers now days!

  • @NZrukus you are fucking retarded movies from this time are really good even better than the ones from 80s becaude in that time the actors were really bad

  • There was no point in turning that light on O_o

  • silly girl ... you cant run from freddy

  • @1996crystalstarr alice from part 4&5 did that

  • THIS!!!! Is god....

  • his laugh when he's chasing her down the alley always scares the shit out of me

  • so thats what a girls period looks like....

  • this is by far the scariest scene in the whole series.

  • The 1st one is the only one where Freddy wasn't joking around before killing....

  • @JennifersBodyH2 i think this was the best one along with number 3, the rest just sucked.

  • @Gencturk92 i love 1, 3, and New Nightmare. I like the remake and Freddy vs Jason. I hated Freddy's Dead a lot. I will never watch that one again....lol. 2, 4, and 5 were all right i guess....they weren't very memorable imo.

  • @JennifersBodyH2 Here's my ranking:

    1. Nightmare on Elm Street (Loved It)

    2. NoES 3: Dream Warriors (Also Loved It)

    3. New Nightmare

    4. Freddy vs Jason

    5. NoES 4: The Dream Master

    6. Freddy's Dead

    7. NoES 2: Freddy's Revenge

    8. NoES 5: The Dream Child (Hated It)

    Haven't seen the remake

  • @kc86er the 5th one is very stupid i think. 4-6 and #2 were not very good. The ones with Heather Lengenkamp were the best

  • @JennifersBodyH2 Everybody seems to hate "Freddy's Dead", but I didn't think it was that bad. "Dream Child" made me cringe, because it didn't make any sense.

  • @kc86er Idk its just something about Freddy's Dead I don't like at all. Yeah I didn't understand Dream Child either....I have no idea what goes on in the movie at all lol.

  • @JennifersBodyH2 People dislike "Freddy's Dead", because many felt it wasn't a good way to end the series. Freddy's presence in the film was more comical and less scary, the characters were uninteresting, the ending was anti-climactic, the 3-D gimmick was unnecessary, etc.

But I thought the back story about Freddy was interesting, and some of the death scenes were pretty funny...thus I didn't think it was horrible. However, it's got nothing on Parts 1, 3, and New Nightmare.

  • @kc86er Yeah the back story was the only part of the movie I was semi interested in. You didn't really care who died in the movie that's why I don't like it either, theres no good character development.

  • Go to 0:33 and look how Freddy is running lololololol

  • only nightmares on elm street were the shit

the remakes of friday the 13th and a nightmare on elm is just bad

  • 2:16 LOL! Did she just explode?! XD

  • 1:47 JAJAJAJAJAJ

  • This is SO much scarier than the remake.

  • Halloween is gonna be hella fun when it come around.

  • I have a friend named tina....and I always mimick this scene to her LOL

  • Appartently, there's a minor cut to this scene that showed up in an unrated verson that never saw DVD release. Damn you New Line!

  • @hanshotfirst1138 yes it did, the american version is uncut but the british dvd version is cut

  • !!!,

  • Holy shit

  • When I first saw this, I was thinking "DAMN! WTF did he do to her in that nightmare?!"

  • @Kojain I saw it when i was 7

  • @66RAPER I bet you'd jizzed your pants when you saw this at that age.

  • I live a street down from the actor that played Freddy in this movie :P

  • What is with Tina being completely blood-soaked? I can't even be sure of the exact happenings of her dream because you see the end from her boyfriend's POV, not Tina's. I need DETAILS!

  • I remember this death in particular scared the living fuck out of me as a kid

  • 1:16 O_O

  • they really fucked up this scene in the remake.

  • this movie isnt scary at alll this was prolly the best part of the movie i think the remake had me scared a little more but this scene is better than the remakes

  • @xxcoltenxx1 Nightmare on elm street series weren't suppost to be really scary, they just wanted to be creative with the deaths scenes

  • Who else thinks they should get both Freddies (origional and new) to team up? a good story excuse could be that Robert's Freddy could find a portal in hell that takes him to a parallel dimension and he meets the 'new' freddy, and after a comical encounter, they both team up to kill everyone (child/teen and adult)

You think one freddy is scary? try TWO of them!

  • @Wolfquestiscool....well, usually when you turn a light on when someone is sleeping (like, for example, the room light), it can wake them up due to the sudden change from darkness.

Only problem is that it was too late for Tina.

  • am i the only one who finds this funy? :D

  • Wow, this made a much bigger impact than Kris's death in the remake! :O

That was so creepy, the way she just crawled up the ceiling, ugh.. So scary!

  • the scariest part for me in when he's chasing her down the alley

  • @Epikkfailyurr It's an 80's movie you fucking prick teenager, stick to your shitty remake, NOTHING can beat the classic.

  • @Epikkfailyurr you suck

  • @Epikkfailyurr 7/10

  • @Epikkfailyurr the only thing that i agree with on you is that the remake was awesome. but i still think that the original was the best out of all of them. doesn't mean i hate the other ones though

  • @Epikkfailyurr And you wouldn't know horror if it hit you in the face. :)

  • tighty whities

  • the first time iever seen this was when my older cousin was just flipping through channels. I was 4. I fucking cried and didnt sleep straight for weeks after he showed me this. As much as it scared me i knew i was watching something great.

  • Ah now that is a scary movie not like the bullshit we got these days

  • I like how he just stands there just watching the whole time. Yelling "Tina" every 3 seconds is NOT helping.

  • @mrusername its called panicking, if this happened to you i seriously doupt you would try to help her

  • This is the funniest death scene ever to me

    Ah I love Freddy : P

  • What sucks about this scene is, the track to this scene was never documented. It's the best out of all the energetic tracks of the movie and it was never documented for the soundtrack release.

  • Cool!! He jumped out from behind a skinny tree like they do in the cartoons!! :D

  • his stupid ass is just screaming "Tina"! like a retard! get up BITCH!

  • @BubbleGumPrincessLOL What can he do really?

  • Freddy must like his job

  • @iluvvsmp2 - They literally had a rotating set, so they could film her on the "ceiling" and walls. It was all turned so she's really on the floor, it just looks like the ceiling. I saw this in a documentary, and the actress said it was very disorienting and it creeped her out at first. I'd look up the details if you're really interested. :)

  • I love this scene .. she played this so good !

  • lol worse facial expressions ever

    that was hot though

  • "Please god" "THIS, is god" PRICELESS!

  • Jeez shut up people for saying that Rod should of helped Tina, he said later on that he thought it was another nightmare, so at first he didnt believe it, but it was too late when he realized it was real. GOSH!

  • Rod handled the situation very maturely.

  • Okay maybe if I do Nothing she will be okay!

  • how the hell is he so calm!?!? if i saw a person flying around possessed around the room i'd be flippin' bitches

  • Rod is useless as he watches tina bleed to death

  • I wish that guy would shut the hell up. "Tina! Tina! Tina! Tina! Tina!"

  • one of the best scenes in the movie

  • 1:00 Oh great, now Spongebob's getting involved too.

  • @SouthPark4All omg i just paused at 1:00 and nearly died lol

  • Woah this is fucking brutal!!

  • Did anyone notice at 0:52 that Freddy's claw is on the wrong hand? :O

  • how did they shoot the scene with her on the ceiling?

  • @iluvvsmp2

    Special effects probably.

  • After all these years, this film stills frightens me. Horror is my favorite genre and I have watched hundreds and hundreds of horror films. I was about 7 years old when I first saw this on VHS and these images blew my mind! This scene is a perfect death scene and this film remains one of the most effective and visceral films I have ever seen in my life!

  • Now THAT is a death scene.

  • where i can find this soundtrack? it's awesome!

  • That "This is God" line was sorta like how they tried to do in the remake, when the boy was in the steam room and he said "Oh God" and then Freddy, played by jackie ear haley goes "No, just me."

  • when the face falled of i shited my pants

  • Pause at 2:18

    I SEE AN ASS!

  • I really like the point when Tina starts running after her, waving his hands and laughing!

  • @Twan4188 you mean Freddy, lol. But yeah, that was awesome!

  • I <3 Freddy!

  • Awesome. It's very disturbing the way she moves in the wall, those effects are way more powerful that today's CGI stuff.

  • @lucamoviemaker Than bad CGI stuff, yes.

  • Love how they used Fred Astair's famous "revolving room" dancing sequence to have an awesome horror movie killing!

  • My name was going to be Tina, now im angry >:(

  • "THIS... is God." Sweet Jesus, that line of dialog sounded like it came straight from the bowels of Hell itself! Great acting, Mr. Englund!

  • I always thought Tina's bf was a punk! He could of saved her.

  • THIS is god >:)

  • New horror films and remakes alike forgot the techniques to ACTUALLY scare the audience. They're just all, "Let's...let's...uhm, put a lot of gore and stuff...yeaaah". Lmfao.

  • THIS is god

  • She is such a slow runner

  • @WilliamABoi well its a nightmare

  • This scene I never forgot. I was five years! ONLY FIVE YEARS BOYS! Now I'm a gay with 29 years, but I still have fear of this movie!

  • The Remake sucked ass! This one is way better!

  • Sounds Like Shes Choaking When she's getting...

    RATED 'R' SLASHED!!!!

  • good horror film

  • I wish someone put together and upload here Tina's death scene from this one and Kris's death scene from the remake so eveyone could se what a ridiculous, pathetic little acrobatic show the remake's version of that death is and how totally intense and disturbing the original scene is. Seriously, I find it still hard to believe how much of a FAIL the remake's version of the scene is. The whole remake is a fail but especially that scene. I'd do it myself but I don't wish to buy the remake.

  • Maybe she'll live and be okay if I turn on this lamp!

  • @TheyCallMePeachFace

Maybe if I just watch and say her name she will live. Or maybe I should shake her and wake her up, nah, I'll just say her name.

  • @TheyCallMePeachFace you may know this but rod was so scared he was in shok and couldent do anything

  • @TheyCallMePeachFace the light will distract him!!

  • 1:38 - 2:22

That's one hell of a period.

  • @TheWiseGuy784 With ya' bro.

  • freddy is deffinitely a lot more scary looking in the original, although i prefer the remake because he looks like a real burn victim and he does crack some jokes while killing his victims. I also like the newer death scene when Katie Cassidy is being flung around the room before being cut down her torso and dieing almost immediately. Here tina is cut first which would realisticly make it difficult to try to escape from him, which is what she appears to be doing. this is still one of my favorite

  • this is without a doubt one of the creepeist deaths ive ever seen

  • i think that kris's death in the 2010 version is good but tina's death is the best death in the nightmare seris it a classic death scene so tinas death gets 10 stars and kris's death gets 8 stars

  • he could have woken her up while she was screaming instead of just standing there watching

  • @steve5568 well to be fair this certanly came as a shock because i dint think girls getting thrown across the room and draged up the wall happens oftern

  • I like when she rips his face off and he jst laughes thats Awesome the remake is shit and this is a classic . THIS.... IS GOD !!

  • this is a masterpiece, some people just dont know that. doesnt matter if the effects are cheesy, its the pysycological horror that matters.

  • I wonder why Amanda Wyss never reappeared as Tina even in cameos? It would have been great to have her make an appearance with Nancy in "NOES: 03"!

  • 0:35 always makes me laugh

  • i loved how he stood there and not try to help her

  • Man, that scene where Freddy cuts his fingers : no other actor nor remake could top that FACE!

  • i wonder how they changed his voice in this movie to sound so dark and twisted and malevolent. best exanple is his little giggle
