You know, this was when anime truly had class. I mean, I dearly love the newer stuff, but this series stood out like all the others of its time because of its originality an odd style. Lupin had flair.

Back then I'm pretty sure it wasn't that odd. They were more based on the Western animation but now we have all these shitty anime with a bunch of gay boy-heroes whose name is the same as the title of the manga/anime even though it focuses more on the emo angst-ridden ex-rival who turned evil

If they broke it dont correctly it should be RUPAN the 3rd. but since japanese pronounce their Rs as Ls and As as long As sounds like lupin >>>>LOL funny

You're mistaken. They pronounce their L's as R's by rolling their tongue. It's far more correct to pronounce the name with an English L as opposed to an Englsh R. English R and Japanese L/R sound completely different. The straight up English R makes the name sound odd.
