the one in sparta happened less then a mile away from my house i live on icon near the interstate..it destroyed a house that was less than a mile away from us it was a crazy day
@lilfingyaj1 It wasn't the first time a tornado has been in La Crosse. The last one was 40 years ago...certainly not common but not completely unheard of.
Yeah down twords Longfellow schooling there was a GIANT tree ripped up with a HUGE chunk like the size of 2 cars ripped up of earth with it. they fixed it tho so thats good.
i think they were saying that this was an EF0...at most an EF1. sparta's damage was worse i guess. I haven't seen the damage first hand but I am doing down there tonight to see if i can help out with any of the clean up. I'm just glad there were not any serious injuries or deaths!

Getting back to my apartment by Gundersen Lutheran was TOUGH... the brick sign that was on our building was partially collapsed and there was a building across the railroad tracks from me that was just.. there was nothing left. You are right, a gas line near pepsi was ruptured in the storm.

i just rode out the tornado in plover/bancroft...i was trapped in my truck...power line poles snapped like toothpicks...wires came crashin down on my truck. the power cannister exploded right behind me...i was ground zero in the eye...tryin 2 upload video

@maealex1989 Well as it came into La Crosse it was an EF1 then when it hit southside it was an EF0. so

Didn't see any damage in La Crescent on the news last night. Seems like the damage started at Green Island Ice Arena and ended behind KMart.
