Holy shit i didnt even know he was talking this whole time i was wondering why he was poking so many things and not actually doing anything its apparently because he was trying to explain something... WTF?!
I spilled water near my phone i didnt think anything got in but just to make sure i took the battery out right away. i noticed the phone had a really gross smell, almost like stale pee S: did i fuck up super hard core? does water damage usually smell like that? O:
hi there, any chance you know where the data sits in the phone ? I have smashed my screen, housing etc, phone seems to power up as it vibrates when powered but obviously cant see anything. Tried connecting with a data cable but the computer doesnt see it. I have another working s2 and i want to find a way to temporarily swap some parts over to pull off the data from the phone.
@sHaMsOnTrack My friend did you have any luck with that?? just curious because I dropped my galaxy s in the water and its dead so i just purchased a second hand galaxy s, and I'm going to attempt to swap their motherboards in order to gain access to my old files in the phones internal memory and if that doesn't work means the motherboard is dead so in that case i'll try and swap the actual internal memory chip n solder it onto the new phones motherboard..soo how did u go??cheers
@theIchosenIone Hey bud, No because of the break i didnt look into it but i need to asap because insurance is hounding me for the old phone. I am not going to try any soldering but was hoping to swap the entire board that contains the memory to my my phone (S2 as well) but i need to know which board the data is held in etc. Any idea ?
@sHaMsOnTrack lol we r in the same situation, yea thats what i'll try first, just swapping the boards, hoping my old one isnt burnt, but if it is than Im in trouble..ur data is stored on one of the chips on the board there are many but there r two large black ones and one is ur processor n other is ur internal memory, the processor is square shaped and memory is more of a rectangular shape, hope that helps, shouldnt be hard, good luck to u anyway, let me know how u go, cheers mate

music's lame in teardown/repair videos if you can't hear the person talk.

I'd like to see this video uploaded without the music so I can actually hear what the guy's talking about.
