  • hey ! its not "SCIENTISTS" developing this... it's ENGINEERS!!

  • @angypangyify .scientists develop, engineers build

  • Masdar PRT is scrapped. Masdar is a loosing project. Rats are already jumping the ship

  • Wow. lets hope this gets up and running quickly enough to trial in in other parts of the world also.

  • Even though I see as UAE as a living hell, it's probably the best place to experiment new things, because these neuvo-rich people are willing to throw money on everything, I ain't saying it is a bad thing...

  • @Derp1978 why is UAE a living hell?

  • @CelticShinnie People who have amassed so much wealth over one generation, from being Nomads to Billionaires, we call these people the Neuvo-Rich (New Rich), these types of people are rude and have little idea on how to be humble with their wealth, they irrationally need to show off. The suburban and cheap-kitsch opulence look of the place adds to the soulless characteristics of the UAE, the consumerism and materialism makes it seem like a living hell.to me and it's the kind of shit I resent. ;)

  • I'm wondering why this sort of thing is not being made in Europe and in the Americas.

  • @trihumanish

Because our countries are unfortunately bog down with inefficient Bureaucratic administrations that are more concerned with political games.

It is a chicken and egg situation. They will not invest the money so they will not get more economical systems.

  • @757K: I heard that its not going to be built at the scale that was planned, but they will still build it for central routes.

It has been built at Heathrow Airport though and it's already functional there.

  • this is why im glad im in love with the 21st century there can be thousands millions or billions or trillions of thoughts of the Future and technology the century we live in is like 934,960,483,859,488,999,999,434,059,943 times better than the 20th century haha!!

  • amazing. I ad this vision of the future when I was a boy. Now it is happening. VERY EXCITING!

  • @Mashbolt i miss the 2000s aka last decade now 2010-2019 be more different you know wat the year 2015 be like tell me can i can tell u more

  • why not use Ford Crown Victorias or Toyota Priuses?

  • @Rickyrab: it's a totally different concept from a car. These things are like individual busses, programmed to run on a particular set of routes. They don't get clogged in traffic jams and have no exhausts - that's the whole point ;)
