When I first saw the trailer for the very first x-men movie I thought Anna Paquin was playing Jubilee (I did not know Jubilee was chinese despite seeing the cartoons as a kid). She did not look like Rogue at first and I hate that she does not have a southern accent or the powers she took from ms. marvel. I hope there is a part 4 and she breaks up with Iceman and ends up with Gambit. Taylor is so hot. I also hope the "cure" does not work and she gets her powers back.

in the comics, rogue got her super powers by absorbing miss marvel ones. Rogue´s mutant power is only absorbing others strength. The movie focused part of her psyche, I mena, how someone like her would feel? what she felt when she found out she couldn´t control her powers? I think they did a good job portraying Rogue, and Anna paquin is a marvelous actress.
anna still did a great job with the material she was given, though. i'm glad that producers thought outside the box and casted an oscar winning actress instead of some twenty-something year old dolly parton look alike with a fake hick accent that probably couldn't act her way out of a paper bag and capture the complexity of the character dealing with her abilities.
I just saw the new picture of Taylor as gambit throwing a card and he didn't have the black and red eyes or the trenchcoat...they had better get his character right, i have been waiting since the first x-men movie to come out to see gambit and he had better have the trench coat, the accent and the red and black eyes...sorry had to vent!

I dont know if taylor kitsch is too short to be gambit?...he seems 6" or so...the problem is that wolverine is actually like 5'6"...but hugh jackman is like 6'4"...i think he will be an alright gambit...although I theres a few other people i think could have been better ( and no not josh holloway)...bigtime childhood gambit fan

nope, unfortunately not. There filming in atm. Its set 17yr before x men 1! So there messing with the romy timeline a bit. You can wiki it and theres always stuff on the marvel website. I've just been googling wolverine origins news every couple of weeks to get all the latest news.
I would say Gambit was intended to be early 20's in Wolverine, so if they put him in X4 that would make him over 40, which means a Rogue/Gambit storyline would probably be a bit awkward.

And Gambit and Rogue shhould be together... But there is no more hope for that,because Rogue nomore has her powers and shr's in Lovewith Bobby... ( I hate Bobby)...
