  • Tammy Wynette's fave Band!

  • Truly good music, you dont hear music like this anymore.

  • In the 30's and 40' they were they were the gentlemen of the road. always looked out for the people traveling in cars. Always let you know when it was safe to pass them.

  • A great close-harmony rendition of a soulful lament....a classic.

  • @Grisbi6 I agree completely.

  • @ldobranon I was 11 in "79, my daddy was a gearjammer most his life.I always felt safe around the big rigs on the h"way. Big rig drivers from your era on the road are not the same as they were. my daddy wrecked more than once to save a life, and always said to me (like the song)..Widomaker-"1 life for 10, has always been the truck drivers code." I-65n Tenn, i witnessed that. Cold rolled steel, right through bulkhead and cab, to save a camper trailer...you guys will always be my heros-Im 43 now.

  • man I`ll definitlely drink to this! graet song!

  • @coolanddark Just don't drive or you'll be the wreck on the highway!!!

  • @ldobranon I'm so sorry you had to see such a horrible thing, i have also seen that kind of thing and you never forget it.

  • Ole Hoot knows this song, Hoot's my Daddy, Thank you Hoot.

  • @Humpfester It's a great old time tragedy song.

  • Charlie and Ira are together now singing to the angels in heaven
