I really enjoyed Ikkicon myself. But it can be hard to get into the swing of conventions at first, for any one you go to.

I suggest joining the convention's web-site. You can meet some people on there and plan to meet up with them at the con. Plus, there's a lot of things you'll find out on the web-sites that you wouldn't find out about when you're actually at the con. ^^
