  • "braking is nice!" hahaha great review matt

  • Heyy matt, think a 392 SRT8 Challenger is a good car and worth its price ? Either that or im going for a used 2010 S550. Not sure what to choose

  • @YerRBZ Challenger all the way if you are looking for a great track car. If you are looking for a comfortable luxury car i would go with the 2010 S550 even though i hate mercedez

  • @YerRBZ S550 all day long, it's a WAY better car.

  • You the man , the lambo is the king. Good driving dude

  • I think the Ford GT was poor. 800hp 135mph vs 550hp 131mph.

    Where was the power going?

  • @namybot These speeds were not achieved on a runway, it was on a road course with a very tight right hander at the end. So it's possible that he simply got on the brakes earlier than he needed to.

  • @TheSmokingTire Yeah or maybe the Lamborghini is a very well engineered car that gives to user plenty of confidence.

  • Matt you should definitely do a more in depth view of the 370z.

  • 9:30 ... What ?? "congrats Mr. Shit Bag " ??

  • damn! he wrecked the R8

  • nothing beats muscle :)

  • Oh, the famous Renault Veilsatis V6 hahahaha .... nop, this isn't a V6 engine created by Nissan ....

  • lose some weight fatty damn!!!!!

  • hey matt did you like the 370 z nissan and was it fun to drive?

  • 06:07 lamborghini overtook a nissan gtr

  • GOD DAMMIT! It's Nevada, not Ne-vah-da.

  • look at the damage on the front end of that r8 at 9:57.man he fucked up.

  • hey what do you think about the nissan 300zx?

  • You're right about a Schumacher edition Ferrari but they're gonna do just that with the 458 Scuderia next year.

  • Valentino Balboni drove all the Lamborghini models.

He was there from the beginning when Ferruccio started the company.

  • Alright I just have to say, I dont ever really care where the car was originally from or what it is called there I just wanna learn about its speed, normal engine, price, and its attributes and stuff, so you guys need to stop fighting. I like Top Gear and Smoking Tires, there not something that says you cant like both though I like Smoking Tires a little more because he REALLY tests it himself, quite often in Top Gear does the track tester dude only really test the car though Top Gear is factual

  • @moosemccray: Only if the Veyron they would use isnt twin turbo charged like the specially built GT that he has, but yes, if not that, I agree.

  • @droidboy97 Erm the Veryon is quad-turbocharged stock lol.

  • before anybody watches the video skip to 8:40 double wtf moment

  • why didn't put this guy in the american version of top gear?

  • man I love these videos Yet I don't know anything about cars -.-

  • I wanna see that GT reach top speed. I think it would easily beat the veyron...

  • @moosemccray it´s ´bout 320kph=200mph

  • @gtaskill Well, I'll bet if he has an engine with over 1000hp, he probably has a transmission that lets him go over 240mph at the least, if not more...

  • never knew there was a paddle shift balboni.

  • 250 bhp more and only 4 mph better than you?

  • HOLY FUCK at 4:05 i saw my favorite car EVER. the cl65 amg :D

  • Doe's it give you a headache like the 350Z

  • Great vid, but one question for you Matt.. I saw thet you drove the nice 370Z. But you haven't got a license plate in front of the car. Here in this country (the Netherlands) is that illigal.. and i have seen it on many other vids too. so is it legal to drive with just one license plater on the car (at the back)

    Grtz Matthias

  • @ghostriderbaby the law varies in the US state by state. in the case of manufacturer-owned press cars, such as the 370Z in this video, only the rear plate is necessary.

  • @TheSmokingTire ow oke. Thank you for you awnser

  • @TheSmokingTire Poor R8. :-( What happened?

  • @ghostriderbaby It's illegal in California, but where I live the police don't make a huge deal over it if you drive responsibly. I guess it is a gamble, but when the car comes from the factory without a front plate, why compromise the sexy look for an ugly plate. I would rather have a plate from the netherlands than California with the tall and wide rectangular plate to be honest. But with my Corvette Fuck the front plate

  • @norcalnorway hehe oke thanks ;) yeah i don't like it when there's a plate on it. It's a shame that it's illigal to drive with no front license plate here.

  • i want to "beat on" that Gallardo

  • ertyui

  • Matt Farah.. do I smell some Lebanese descent?

  • downside of the 370z - it is so incredibly ugly compared to the 350z.

  • Is it better than the Hyundai Genesis 2.0? Haha.

  • the black gtr at 6:06 is sexy as hell

  • uh mustangs blow massive time, the v6 camaro's have more hp then a v8 mustang it may be only 1 more lol but it still out takes it

  • @suvdriver77 Nope... The V6 Mustang has 300+hp, just like the overweight Camaro. The 2011 Mustang GT has 412hp and SMOKES the 420+hp Camaro SS. Take a look at ANY comparison video on here between the two.

  • is the black car with green rims (in the right side background) at 4:04 a ferrari f430? and why does that Balboni have paddle shifting, i knows it shifts faster but it isn't as fun and i thought that car didn't even come with it. by the way TheSmokingTire Rocks!

  • um, come on guysss

where's the hennessey corvette ZR700 or even better the ZR750?

i bet the ZR750 would would whoop all of them.

  • I love how Matt Farah described his feelings on each cars he tested... It's fun watching this review !

  • glad to see we have somehow mixed a little blasphemy in with car talk. but i digress, it would have been more exciting if you put them all in a drag race.

  • Hey Matt - what would you say is the best vert for 20-30g?

  • @wfangnxd117 I kinda dig the Volkswagen Eos, but a V6 mustang isn't bad either....

  • @TheSmokingTire id get the toyota mr2 then buy a lambo bodykit which will drop your insurance

  • @TheSmokingTire

Completely irrelevant but i have a question for you...

Can you do an episode comparing the 2003 SVT Terminator cobra, and the new 2011 ford gt? Both of which are mustangs. They both have modular engines except one with a 3.63 bore. They made a huge uproar when they rolled into production and to say the least, they both have balls.

If you can't, my apology for requesting it. If you think about it, we can talk about it. If you can, please respond.

  • "braking is nice"

  • Matt makes a good review and he is just a honest car guy who has no biases. That is unique and very hard to find these days. Good job smoking tire, thanks.

  • How the fuck do you drive with the top down and not get wind noise on your mics?

  • Matt Farah, you seriously make this show terrible, try not to be such a douche next time and everyone will be better off. Honestly.

  • @rsxdc5714 Ironic who is calling someone else a douche. Kid stop being such a douche and go drive your nanny car.

  • @spongebob773 HAHAHA first, check out your horrible car, how much did that cost, $2000?!? When you can afford a car that costs more than my brakes, then we can talk

  • @rsxdc5714 $400 actually, and why buy a car that costs that much when it has shitty performance? You make no sense.

  • 8:10 yeah the schumacher ferrari is called the f430 scuderia, and i doubt this lambo is better than that

  • but it doesnt look better than the 350z, and i bet is not that much better than the 2003 350z, which is lighter than the 370

  • haha nice valentine

  • 3:30 that's how you drive a car

  • Hey, was the Supercharged R8 on a wrecker? I couldn't read you clearly.

  • Can you set up a race of EIGHT supercars?

  • heffner performance now makes all three of those cars the gallrdo, v10 r8 with the twin turbo kit

  • I wish they would stick to tuning their mustangs instead. If a Lambo was ment to have twin turbo, it would come with twin turbo. Lambos are engineered and set up professionally on Lambos own track and its amazingly arrogant of an american tuneshop to think they can do better.

  • @Janusha lol you think they tune mustang no they tune the gt40 and heffner not just throwing turbos into a lambo they spent time tuning it to bad ass on the track and as much like the normal lambo driving on normal roads this is professonally tuned to and i believe this becuase your not fucking around with engines that cost as much as alot of new cars the the veryon killer (a porsche that hit 255) was made by a tuner not porsche so dont hate on tuners

  • Giving a Corvette 1000 hell even 2000 hp does in no way make it a Veyron beater. People need to get over that top speed thing. They did twice the Veyrons speed at Bonneville in the 60s. So what. What I find weird is that USA is jammed full of more or less professional tuneshops yet produce nearly no top shelf performance vehicles and absolutley no supercars themselves. Hell if 11 people in Sweden can make the Koenigsegg, with all the means and manpower in the world, why doesnt USA do the same.

  • Saleen, SSC, and Mosler have come out with some great cars, and hennessey is doing the same with the new Venom. They jusr arent getting alot of recognition. Plus the US has a totally different demographic. Alot of americans like to drag race. Whereas foreign countries like the curves. Different strokes for different folks.

  • Different worlds. Which is why it sounds so bad when americans try to put their straight liners and race derived stuff over European supercars. There is no war for supremacy. There are 50-60 top end performance / supercars out of Europe and litterally a few new ones each month. Whereas in USA there is nearly nothing going on. SSC sold what.. 10 cars. Saleen is out of business, Mosler might build a car if you call them and ask. Ford GT has been out for 4 years. There is just the Corvette really.

  • @Janusha Race "derived stuff!", did you not see where I said ppl who have these cars get USED TO 5-600HP after that it gets boring and they want more. The only Euro cars w/ FI setups are Gallardos, Murcies, R8s and UGR just added F430s to their TT roster. WOW a whole 4 cars outta how many euro supercars, give me break, I bet if you rode in one of these TT beast at WOT you wouldnt be bitching then.

  • IF a Lambo was ment to have 1400hp.. it would come with 1400hp is all Im saying. Go tune your Mustangs or Corvettes. They are delivered with huge engines that can use a bit of tuning. Whatever you do in a tuneshop to an Aston or a Lambo can only upset its balance and make it a straight line car. Which is the oposite of what its ment to be.

Its like painting the Mona Lisa with an airbrush. Its tacky and shows no appreciation for the art.

  • @Janusha Again for the last time THE OWNERS OF THESE CARS DONT CARE ABOUT "BALANCE". THEY WANT HIGH SPEED DRAG CARS. And tuners like Heffner and UGR put in alot of work to make sure these cars can still be used as daily drivers, plus who said you cant take a 1000hp car to the track. You cant afford one therefore you have no say so in what OTHER PEOPLE choose to do with their car. If they wanted balance than theyll leave the car the way it is. If you dont like it then touch shit.

  • And how is it arrogant for a tuneshop to make any car faster for its customer. The majority of ppl get used to having 500-600hp. After that they want more, its the rush they get, thats why we have tuners like UGR and Heffner.

  • @Janusha You know, you're talking a lot of crap about tuning shops in the US, when the truth is, some of Europe's tuning shops create some awful cars as well. How about Mansory? Creator of the ugliest tuned supercars in history.... How about AC Schnitzer and their gap-toothed "Tension" package for the 6-series? I happen to like Novitec Rosso (germany)'s twin-supercharger package for the 430. Tuning supercars is NOT at all unique to the United States.

  • @TheSmokingTire and what about the GREAT tuner cars? Heffner can make 1400 HP reliably out of a Ford GT. RUF continues to build some of the fastest 911's in the business. Underground Racing built a Lamborghini that can go 250mph. If people have the money to spend and want to go faster, what's wrong with that? It's not like people don't also have regular, non-tuned exotics here.

  • Yep. Mansory are excellent at taking a perfectly fine car and making it look tacky. I guess they are big in countries where money and taste dont necessarily coincide. RUF however takes it a step further. Modifying not just the engine but enough to sell cars under their own brand name. While there are more or less serious tuning shops in Europe aswell it seems to me.. that in USA the tuneshops have become substitutes for making top end production cars.

  • It seems cars are delivered sub specc from the factory. Mustangs in particular. They seem to be just a base for home improvement. Infact I cant imagine a car that has been built in USA where they have gone full out and produced the best of their ability and not held back on anything. Having been to some supercar factories and seen them put their cars together it kinda makes me cringe to see a tuneshop fitting TT to them and making straight liners out of them.

  • @TheSmokingTire It's sad that you guys didn't include 9FF in the tuner greats...

  • @TheSmokingTire Not to mention HPA tuning from Germany, Rinspeed from Switzerland and even Evolution motorsports from the US (my personal favorite) who squeeze power even out of a Bugatti Veyron.

  • 8:35 - 8:49 Thats what she said =)

  • Wow! what a beautiful Lamborghini!! So, about the 370Z, i have read from several car magazines that have tested the new Z and they said the engine noise was particularly harsh and not a typical car sounding engine noise, what is your opinion about the 370Z engine noise??...hope to see more vids like this one!!

  • it's not quite as awesome as the 350's but it's still pretty solid considering it's a V6, not the best sounding engine configuration.

  • Hey Matt for 40,000 dollars what do you think is the best buy from all the diffrent convertibles

  • If we're talking brand new cars, you can't beat the Z for that price point.

  • TheSmokingTire

yeah a Mustang GT super car....sure...not precisely when turning corners, because it behaves like a heavy piece of shit. Almost rolling over. Yeah super car.

  • what the hell are you talking about? Who said a Mustang GT was a supercar?

  • @TheSmokingTire ya no car made by ford is a super car well the gt40 but i credit that to shelby me being a chevy fan and all i cant credit ford for anything good lol

  • @krispy022

The Ford GTs wheels are german, brakes Italian, bodywork is brittish, handling and chassis is set up by Lotus, steering and gearing I believe is out of an Aston Martin and you give Shelby the credit. Not much left to call it a Ford then. The engine perhaps which I think is out of their F150 truck. Great car tho. I cant believe they ended it so soon. over 4 years ago now.

  • @MrGasdg I assume you mean the Ford GT and not the Mustang GT, because they are as different as night and day. If you're referring to the Ford GT, then yes, some components were outsourced, but only because Ford had to develop that car start to finish in 18 months. The chassis was developed by Ford and Saleen and suspension tuned by lotus, the steering rack is out of a Ford Focus, and the engine is a modified version of a truck engine.

  • But what you get with all that is supreme driveability, the steering is easy to use and direct, the suspension is sporty and comfortable, and the engine sounds uniquely american. That engine, even though it's from a truck, is overengineered beyond belief, which is why tuners like Heffner can run huge twin turbo setups on those cars with 1200hp on a totally stock bottom end. Because of the time crunch, they didn't have time for last minute failures, hence the strongest engine in the business.

  • @TheSmokingTire

No no.. not the Mustang. I cant imagine Lotus setting that up. Just calling Aston or Lotus would probably cost more than the design budget of the Mustang. Wherever they found the parts for it I think Ford with its european ties is less reluctant to call on Euro automakers for parts. However I think its a shame that its been out of production for over 4 years already. THE greatest supercar contender out of USA since... the last Ford GT40. They should clearly have continued it.

  • @TheSmokingTire

I'm not trying to call bullshit on you or anything and I apologize for replying to something that's almost a month old, but where did you hear that Lotus tuned the Ford GT's suspension?

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I don't know anything about the Ford GT and can't name any credible sources."

Going to Jeremy Clarkson for car facts is like going to the Bible for historical facts.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I don't know what the word factual means."

You probably don't know what a car show is either (Top Gear used to be one). I suggest you use proper terminology from now on.

My previous statement still applies, just replace "Jeremy Clarkson" with "Top Gear" (although it wouldn't surprise me if you went to the Bible looking for historical facts, given your blatant ignorance here).

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I still haven't bothered to look up the definition of the word factual."

    And it shows.

We're talking about the same guy, Jeremy Clarkson, who said the NSX was a "shameless Ferrari clone". I suggest you learn the difference between factual and sheer entertainment oriented.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I can't think up my own material to insult people with and I don't know the difference between fact and opinion."

If you want an American TV program that's better at being a car show than Top Gear, try Supercars Exposed (because unlike Top Gear, Supercars Exposed is an actual car show, not an entertainment oriented show). Hell, try ANY show other than Top Gear for car facts.

I suggest you go read up before you try to talk, son.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I can't name a better car show than Supercars Exposed."

That's because you can't tell the difference between a car show and a talk show with cars in it. And it doesn't even have to be an American car show to be a better car show than Top Gear (although you insisted I name an American one).

Fifth Gear is the best car show, hands down (not that you'd know anything about that, since you can't even tell the difference).

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I have a massive inferiority complex."

While I understand it's easy to be jealous of counties like America (especially when you live in Australia), if you were capable of seeing past your own envy (which you aren't, apparently), and if you were able to tell the difference between a talk show and a car show, you'd realize that not only is Fifth Gear a vastly superior car show (even if Tom Ford were the only host), Top Gear isn't even a true car show.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I can't tell the difference between GM and Ford, nor can I tell the difference between Australia and Europe."

You can't read well either, since I never changed the subject. By "shot yourself", is that some sort of Australian slang for "bitch and moan on the internet"? I just assumed, since that's an obvious result of your envy. Australian Fords? Like the Falcon (American/Euro parts)?

If you had said Holden, you wouldn't have gotten bullshit called on you.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I like to speak in the 2nd person."

But why you would talk about yourself like that, here and now of all places and times, is beyond me.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I'm speaking in the 2nd person again, apparently."

I didn't realize you were a redneck though.

Anyway, you need to read up on cars and not use Top Gear as a reference if you're going to talk about cars, kid. It would also help if you learned the difference between a talk show and a car show (and what the word factual means) and got over that inferiority complex you have toward America.

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I can't think up my own material when trying to insult someone."

I never said you had an inferiority complex against Australia (you said worst country in the word so I assumed you meant to type Australia). I said you had an inferiority complex against America (although considering you can't tell the difference between a talk show and a car show, and you didn't know that the Focus, Fiesta and numerous others were in fact European Fords, I'm not surprised you got confused)

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I have myself confused with Idoloish now, apparently."

You also confused a talk show with a car show (a talk show which claims the Ford GT is European, that the NSX is a Ferrari clone, that TVR is Russian and that the Veyron is French, among other things), America with Australia, European Fords with Australian Fords and GM with Ford.

Make no mistake, this is not a debate (you disqualified yourself when you mentioned Top Gear as a reference). This is you being picked on

  • @TVRnGTR

TVRnGTR: "I'm still confusing myself with Idoloish."

Yeah, Bugatti IS French, the Veyron, which uses mostly German and British parts, is not (that's like calling the 2010 Camaro or Ford Focus American just because they're American names). JC's also repeatedly called TVR a Russian car (despite the fact it's completely British). As for 100% Australian Fords, do you mean the American Falcon or the European Fiesta/Focus/etc? Or are you still talking about Holden (which is GM, gubba)?

  • @TVRnGTR

An Australian car with American parts, contrary to your claim Australian Fords are 100% Australian. Unless you were confused (big surprise there, since you confused a talk show with a car show, Europe with Australia and Australia with America) and thought Holden was Ford (it's GM, hoon).

  • I recommend that you read the book. Go like hell from A.J. Baime. Caroll Shelby was came into the development of the GT40 LATE in the game. There were alot of bigger players involved in the development car prior to Shelby.

  • I understand how the different car cultures grew in different directions and stuff.. but why is there a tuneshop for every streetcorner in USA yet no supercar brands. With all the old musclecar heritage to pick from and all the expertise... Hell the Cobra Concept forexample. Its timeless classic beauty with a well known name. Why isnt it being made? Build it with Gallardo quality and price and Euro customers would line up. If 11 people in sweden can make the Koenigsegg then why not.

  • Well the Ford GT is actually holding its value better than Ferrari's even, some examples selling over sticker still, even after 5 years. I would love to see a new Ford supercar in the next few years.

  • @TheSmokingTire

It should damn well sell over sticker because the sticker prize was shockingly low and they didnt build many of them. Especially in Europe Im sure many would like to get a hold of one but missed the oportunity. However sadly there is hardly a Ford GT left in USA that hasnt been fitted twin turbos to or worse atrocities.

  • @TheSmokingTire ford should remake some of the greats such as the zephyr, rs200 or the capri or just release the gt90

  • LOL he's driving the 370z and giving it credit... even though he bashed it when they were comparing the GT-R and 370z... haha

  • in that episode, I was simply taking a given side in an argument, and didn't have a say in which side i was arguing.

  • @TheSmokingTire

Well that's unfortunate because the 370z is a real treat. I agree with you on every single point you made. Best of all I find the space and comfort. I've taken a few short trips (2 to 3 hours long) and it's a nice ride with more than enough space for two people. Course mines just a cheap base so I haven't had the pleasure to experience the synchorev. Ah well. There is one thing that you can dislike... NVH can be pretty bad if you're used to a quiet ride. Great video.

  • I was referring to the episode where we compare it to the GTR. I loved actually driving the car.

  • @TheSmokingTire

Yes I know.. I was agreeing with your points about the 370z in this video.. ah nevermind.

  • so the guy who wrecked the audi has to pay for the damages?..what a bummer..i always thought if you crash it they who ever sponsors the driver or what ever pays for the damages.

  • the driver of the Audi was the owner of the car, of course he has to pay for the damage. These are private cars on a private track, not pro race cars with full sponsorship.

  • 135mph is slow for 800hp lol

  • i got a question. if i wanted to be like you and drive expensive cars on the track and get to do burnouts and all that fun stuff, how would i apply or what would i need to do to be a test driver and stuff like that. im sure they have to know your a good driver and stuff but what do you have to do to make them believe that you are capable of driving their exotic car and stuff?..lol

  • you have to make really good videos that people like watching, and take full responsibility for what you break.

  • i would say the reason you are not exploring the limits of the car is not cuz it is 200 thousand dollars, I think it is because your know an awful lot about cars but you dont really know how to drive them, unless it is a straight line. I am just making this claim from watching your videos and seeing your daily driver.

  • You're such an expert on how I drive based on seeing me drive untimed laps in borrowed cars? I'm certainly no professional driver, nor have I ever claimed to be, but you don't have nearly enough information about me or my car to be able to make a claim like that with any sort of accuracy.

  • 370Z an exotic? WtF!

  • if you actually watched the video, you would know that the word "exotic" is used to describe the Lamborghini, Twin Turbo Ford GT, and Supercharged Audi R8 that we race in the whole second half of the video.

  • matt i like the show u rock dude keep ur job u drive fast cars thats really lucky man

  • Exotics only cars Only track and Matt is driving a 370Z ?? You're taking the word "exotic" too litely..

  • if you had actually watched the video before commenting, you would have realized that we were using the 370Z as a camera car and once we got to the track we parked it in favor of a brand new Lamborghini, racing a twin turbo Ford GT and a Supercharged Audi R8, both of which would easily qualify for "exotic"

  • is there a website where i can look at lambo inventory and prices?..not that i can afford one but just to look around.lol

  • any Lamborghini dealership's website should list their inventory and prices.

  • one of the best episodes ive seen thus far, keep it Matt, and that lambo was awsome, rwd in a lambo thats sick

  • that supercharged Audi has a nice sound to it

  • @ricetry the guys driving a 370z are your paying attention to his watch, who here is really the faggot? btw what are you 13? mr riceboy 97

  • This show is much better than Fastlane Daily. I don't like the direction they're going but I like the direction this show is heading!

  • Nooooo poor Audi. :(

    Nice show.

  • schumacher has the fxx :p haha

  • OMG I love the sound of a Lambo V10! BTW great overview of the 370z. I am thinking of getting one, but from what I hear the engine doesn't sound as good as the 350 did. Could you comment on this for me? Thanks Matt, love the show.

  • You're right, it doesn't sound quite as good as the 350's exhaust note, something that could be fixed with a downpipe setup most likely.

  • fags wear the watch on the right...haha

  • so do lefties, douche. .

  • lol well im leftie...every man in my fam is leftie, seeing someone wear it on the right is a little wierd lol

  • I don't think matt is a fag.

  • glad to have your vote of confidence.
