Sajjad was a great tabla player & i have spend like almost 2 months with him in doha qatar it was realy good time for me i never knew that he died i feel so SAD naw... on 29th december i was by Ustad Ghulam sajjad and i asked him where is Ustad Tafo Khan and he zold me that a great tabla player die today and Ustad Tafo Khan is at hos house !! RIP

what a sad news !!! I am shagird of of Ustad Ghulam Hassan Shaggan Sahab and i had the pleasure to meet many time Sajjad bhai he came in our home in France we were good friends i tried to call him but his number doesn't how did he passed away... can someone give me more details...Sajjad bhai was a very very nice man that's why as we say the nice one goes quickly to see Allah swt may Allah give him a big Maqaam in Janat-ul-firdous i miss you Sajjad bhai...

He died in December of 2008 while playing tabla, not sure if it was a heart attack or not

Sajjad Ali will be missed greatly. When he came to Toronto back in 1995 with Riaz and Imtiaz Ali Khan and stayed at Sunny Bhais house, we had sooooooo much fun...Sajjad won the hearts of all tabla lovers here and worldwide. Sajjad, it is with a heavy heart that I say it was not your time yet......but God's will is something we have to accept. Aap ankhon se door chale gaye ho lekin hum aap ko hamesha ki liye duaon mein aur dil mein yaad rakhenge. Aap ka dost (MS)!!!!

It saddens me deeply and causes me great distress to hear Sajjad Ali saab has passed away. I got to see him live in Toronto and with out a doubt one of the best hands I've ever heard to touch the tabla.

waah..kya baat hai...a lengendary artist....a shagird(student)..of the great ustad mian shaukat hussain sahib ji...mindblowing in the art of accompaniment as well as solo tabla...he will be greatly missed...all i can say is an amazing tabla artist...raab rakha(god bless)
