You are very right, this is the only ghazal which made him actually famous, as we know it is always one good ghazal you need to make your mark. The notes are very high and Punjabi folk singing requires these very high notes. I am trying to re record this in lower notes since the composition is just great. Beautiful ghazal with lyrics sung by Maestro Ustad Shaukat Ali with the passion it deserves. I was trying to find the complete lyrics for a long time. this is in Raag Baihravi and I sing this very often in Pakistani Community functions. long live Pakistan and its heritage. God bless you Tauseef.

Actually, Shaukat Ali is a Punjabi folk singer and there are only a few ghazals by him in Urdu..i know about only this . but Dr. Bukhari is going to upload another one(Urdu) by Faiz Ahmad Faiz.

till now its only ghazal that i like much. the reason is that he sings very loudly(its not his fault,as i think its demand of Punjabi folk singing, may be i am not right but its my opinion

iska live version shayad upload hay lekin ye original wala hay jo remix kiya gaya hay. Hes one of the loudest singers of Pakistan alongwith Alam Lohar and Inayat Hussain Bhatti being on Top. Shaukat ki main aapko aik ghazal recommend karon ga Faiz sahab ki lokvirsa ki cassette mein hay "tere ghum ko jaan ki talaash thi". bahut dardmandi say gaai gai hay. Khud bhi sunein aur humein bhi sunayein yahan. Na milay to bataiay ga main apnay stock mein khaak-aaluda ho kar lay aaonga

once i tried to find it but it was not here.anyhow, in that he uses Baz-e-Gul instead of Sehn-e-gul in start...so i put something with correct lyrics :)
