Arnel Pineda sounds just like Steve Perry only you could hear a bit of his Filipino accent when he sings certain lines and his voice can't reach a high pitch the way Steve Perry's did.

arnel pineda compare to perry he has been trained in singing for more than 20 yrs. not included there when he is a child. perry trained only when he was in church choral group.

arnel pindeda as his own version of journey songs. steve perry now will just be left behind coz he is not anymore a journey member. if u think he is legend den dat was before now no more. the new legend today is arnel pineda. platinum of the journey today has been double unlike during perry time. so the group journey today they earned more than during perry time.

They picked a good lead singer but none beats Steve Perry. Perry can hold a high note and smooth it out better than Pineda. His voice can reach a high pitch like Perry, but doesn't sound as smooth, or good either.

That's Arnel Pineda, he's been with Journey since 2007. Before that he was in a Journey cover band in the Philippines before he was discovered (ironically) right here on YouTube.
