А тогда, в этом самолете были другие пилоты, которые в Карелии не были. А Карельские они уж как-то знают что и куда. Понятно, что ошибка пилотов была, но так же, нужно было все-таки гос-ву сделать аэропорт пригодным к работе, а не черти что.

@MyTube22T In 2008 (yes, only in 2008!) Northwest Airlines finally began retiring its DC-9s, but as the Northwest/Delta merger progresses, Delta has pulled several stored DC-9s back into service.

Note, that DC-9 is 2 years older than Tu-134 - it was introduced in 1965 while Tu-134 in 1967.

So for the USA its normal to operate DC-9 and it's not old but for Russia the Tu-134 and its operation must be stopped?

Know that THE ONLY Tu-134's crash due to technical failure happened in 1971.

From 1990 to 2000 - 5 crashes, with 1 shot down, 1 had crago which started burning on board (27 of 72 died), 1 crashed due to maintenance failure on ground shortly after the take-off (44 of 82 died), 2 due to pilots mistakes.

Only 2 were Russian jets.

@hex304 Actually, not at all, there were just few crashes with them and only one - yes, only one - happened due to a malfunction, it was long ago - in 1971.

Also Tu-134 is even a little bit younger than DC-9 which is still operated by Delta and Northwest Airline had been operating it till 2008.

In fact, the last crash was in 2007 when its pilot made a mistake and landed it 400 short of the runway - 6 people out of 57 died.

In 2004 a terrorist bomb killed the whole plane.

As you see, not many.
