  • Just great, Jim. Could listen to this version all day. Have always loved the back-beat of this tune, and that little pause on the synth is just to unreal for words. Love the group picture at the end. That's the way the group looked in 1971 when I met them in Finland.

What a night that was, I'll tell you.

    Best as always,

    Joseph F

    Portland, OR USA

  • Frida is just so superb.....great singer, just a melodious voice.......Amazing!

  • 'Hey Hey Helen' is a really good ABBA song and Agnetha & Frida's vocals are excellent I think it was released as a B-Side in 1975.

  • Hey Hey Helen was ( in most countries ) the B-Side to their hit Fernando and was included on the 1975 album " ABBA " . There were a few countries where " Tropical Loveland " was the B-Side. Thanks for looking in!

  • Hey, they sung bout mey.....to be called a woman "up to date"...can you make it alone....YES YOU CAN.....5 Stars...whats the matter with you...dont ya know, what ya do..YES YOU DO....wish my name was Helen HeyHey

  • this song is so about my mum...and her name happens 2 b helen

  • ♫ GREAT ! ♫

Best Greetings From Sweden - The Land Of ABBA. ٩(̾•̮̮̃̾•̃̾)۶

  • Great song and excellent sound, thanks for the posting.

  • thank you for this music.....it`one of my favorite songs of abba. love them :-)

  • give that man a

    cigar!

  • Sounds much better in stereo, Jim. Thanks.

It comes across more as it should, though I would love to have a go at re-recording it and spice it up a bit.

You call the girls and I'll meet you in the studio in an hour! : )

Hey, I only critique them once in a while because they're just so darned good - and so the bar is set very high for everything they do. Then again, they sold hundreds of millions of albums worldwide, not me. : )

  • Thanks Mike...wouldn't that be great, do you think we'd actually get any work done? I'd be staring at Aggy to much to do anything...probably freak her out!

If you're one of those millions like myself who've went out and bought these records, Then your opinion matters, so critique away!

  • I'd be staring at her too. She's a work of art. We'd have to pour cold water on the men every once in a while or something in order to get any work done! : )

It would be a dream to work with such talented and creative people in the studio. I don't know how they can keep from getting back together to at least do something.

Aggy seems to want to keep it all in the past. Oh well! C'est la vie.

  • Well ya know Mike, at least they went out on their terms instead of hanging around and doing sub-par recordings. They went out on top and that's how they'll be remembered! Hopefully they have one more gig left in them(The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame!)

  • All of them except Frida want to keep in the past. My sense is that she enjoyed ABBA more than any of the rest of them. But then she's a born performer, and I'm not sure that's true of any of the other members.

  • i like it around 2:08

  • Great slideshow Jim.

I love the guitars in the beginning!

nice pic of Aggy at 1.24. lol at Benny 1.58, not exactly his style, is it? =)

  • Yea, Benny's expression at 1:58 is priceless! It looks like he's looking at Aggy's Rearend, and look at Frida's expression when she looks at Benny! Thank you Elin.

  • Chills Down My Spine:

My my my these songs really do have an effect on all the memories long long long time ago!!!. I wasabout 10 or 11 years old then ...

    Thanx so much ji61m <------ u rocx

  • Some great live shots Jim They always look good in slide shows

    A good rockin tune too

Benny used to rock hard with the HepStars

  • What high standards Benny had! This rocks plenty. When you look at the old HepStars vids, they don't rock quite as hard in my opinion. Thans Shay.

  • Yeah the Hep Stars had the whole Beatlemania thing with the screaming girls etc Jim

  • Sounds great.Really rocky for ABBA!

    ~ ~ ~

  • This was their attempt at a harder sound Laura. Benny thought it was to tame and doesn't like it to this day. To bad, I thought they did a great job, especially for the time period. The 70's rocked!

  • "not to shaby is way understated......what a neat way it was to start my day.

    Thanks

  • No problem Jim! Sometimes it's nice to be rocked awake, and "NOT" with real rocks..Ha HA!

  • Such much better then So Long, back in the day they released that one in the beginning I believe and didn't go anywhere, I think if this was the first song released it could have been a big hit. What could have been, LOL.

  • I love the beginning!

  • Thank you Anna, The song simply rocks for Abba. They weren't ever afraid to try new styles. That's what made them so unique!

  • Jim, I always liked this song a lot, and it is better watching your great slide show with it! You cranking them out man! I enjoy every one of them too! I am the first player I see!

  • You're the first Dallas! I just wanted to see what this one sounded like in stereo. Not to Shabby. Thank you.
