  • Bobby Fuller Four had the sound that The Beatles could never get.

  • @Khultan True when The Beatles started sounded not too good, but the 4 Fab were destined to experiment and to break the rules playing with other harmonies in music which by that time there was an emptiness. Bobby Fuller passed away in a moment when he was needed to improve the limitations in sound that pioneers had unfortunately because of lack of better support into the recording field.

  • Love it. Thanks for the upload. I prefer it more than Roy and the Teen King's version.

Of course Roy's voice was not yet developed when he recorded the song in 1956 so maybe I'm being a tad harsh.

  • Bobby was murdered

    superstar

  • AWESOME...this one's better than Roy's...and I love his version

  • @thecountofbasie I agree, this is the 1st time I'm hearing this version, and I love Roy's version, but I like this 1 better.

  • Really GREAT

  • Bobby Fuller and The Fanatics ,about 1962. L-R: Randy Fuller, Tex Reed, Bobby Fuller and Jimmy Wagnon. They all attended Burges High School in El Paso. Randy still lives in California. I haven't heard from Tex in years. Jimmy Wagnon is a fine artist and lives in Northern Arizona. Tex if you're still out there somewhere call us in El Paso!!

  • fantastique version .....

  • Great version, more edgy than Roy's version. Very nice upload.

  • Roy Orbison recorded this song for Sun in 1956. Like Fuller, Roy was also an excellent guitar player. InMemorandum07 posted Orbison's version in better sound quality than some of the others.

  • I´d rather say he sounds like Traveling Wilburys neither Harrison or Roy singing. The tempo of this song fits well both. X-P

  • Yes This is Bobby Fuller Four. They sounded a bit like Eddie Cochran when doing "Nervous Breakdown"

  • Is this Bobby Fuller from the "The Bobby Fuller Four" he sounds alot like Buddy Holly? Both Texans I guess.

  • Right, Bobby was influenced a lot by Buddy Holly.

  • Nice!
