  • wheew expensive energy :D

  • Should be enough to power a calculator :D A tip for the next assignment in math class..

  • Finally....a Stirling actually doing something!

  • Solar/Wind/GeoThermo are green but Expensive !

If you wand to save Thousands of dollars on your electric bill

Go to Google and search for -- Top Magnet Generator ---

Click the First Result (Not the Advertisement)

And you'll find how to build your own Magnetic Generator

That can easily power your house for free!

  • replace the fire with the fan light

  • o ring instead of rubber band?

  • *****

  • where do i get one!!!???

  • Is this Gamma type?

  • this isnt really that efficient, but it looks sweet

  • now where did you get that

  • You don't want to cool the cylinder of a Stirling Engine, it is the heat of the tube and the expansion that makes it work. If you cooled the system you would stop the engine...

  • @jmanz6 incorrect; The stirling engine works on the basis of difference; heat expands generaing pressure to move the displacer piston and its dispersion-cooling contracts; drawing the power piston back against the displacer, in cycle this moves air within the engine resulting in lateral motion. Thus, cooling the area between the displacer and power pistons should increase the power of the model engine.

  • It looks like the drive on that fan is one to one. If you just fastened the hub of the fan to the hub of the stirling's flywheel, you would generate electricity while the fan cooled the proper cylinder.

  • i made the fan part but now i need is the engine LOL

  • It would make more since to have the fan blowing on the power piston cylinder.

  • GREAT IDEA

  • Compared to steam engines, that actually looks energy efficient!

  • Doesnt agree withya! Looking kinda unefficient with the open flame design!

  • @TarenGarond - Of course it looks inefficient not unefficient, it is a model for demonstration purposes. Once a model is constructed to demonstrate the principle then you go on with a working model and fine tune the inefficiencies! Also good idea to use Spell Checker.
