Got bored with trophies. I ended up with 2,004 trophies and 37 platinum before I got bored with them. Trophies are VERY VERY repetitive. It's always "Beat the game on Easy,Medium,Hard" "Collect all hidden objects" "Get X number of kills" "fully upgrade your weapon" "Max out your character" "Beat the challenge room" "Beat this boss" "beat that boss" ... It's the SAME thing over and over and over and over and over and over.

Trophies are great mementos. Previously, the only record you had that you had played the game was a save file. Now trophies mark completing parts of the game AND doing things slightly different.

@polodinio I think that the general value of a trophy is more rewarding than the whole points system used on Xbox, I mean, 5g vs 10...Both are bronze on PS3, 20g to 40g...Silver, and 45g to 100g, A gold trophy, plus that platinum trophy seems more of an incentive than just getting all the acheivements, I mean, I would be LESS of a trophy whore if I were on Xbox, Cuz I got 1000g...woopdey freakin' doo!

theres a option in the system settings to backup the HArd drive of the ps3 onto a portable hard drive so first backup your PS3 HDD on to a portable disc and swap the hard drive then after swapping reconnect the portable HDD to the PS3 which is now equipped with ur new 500 GB HDD and use the same Backup utility option to restore the previous data on to ur new 500 gig hard disk Ask if u need anything else pleasure to help you

Trophies are better than achievements. Fact is, Sony was the first to develop the achievement system then MS stole it, like they always do with other ideas.

another very easy platinum trophy to get is the game called heavy rain. you basically have to follow what is prompted on the screen. Sure you may have to redo the story several times but, again, they are very easy. If you are still stuck just add me (GarciaFever). and I can guide you on what needs to be done.;

I was wondering... If I create a new file on my Playstation 3 (Not PSN but an actual file) and I earn trophies without a PSN ID but just on that file. Once I get a PSN ID will all the trophies I earn on that file carry over to the PSN ID?
