sombody please tell me why this guitar is so great and played by so many guitar legends but yet so cheap,i wanna save up for 1 but i wanna know if theres anything wrong with it cuz its only about 400 euro
That might be because you played one with the rosewood saddle... the reissue he is playing has a upgraded bridge with individual saddles for each string, making it much easier to intonate. ^_^
Since you are in Canada, that explains a lot, all Danelectros that are distributed in Canada, have to go through 3 more sets of hands before it gets to the consumer, the customs agent, the wholesaler, then the dealer, then to you, so it's no wonder they have issues, the ones here in the states dont have those issues. Customs has been known for rough treatment of guitars. Buy from us, and those issues wont happen. We also build custom danos, we have more Dano parts than anyone, Happy New Year!
I have read many positive reviews about the Danelectro DC 59. The soundclips I've come across do much to support the raves. However, I've now come across two brand new re issue DC 59's, up here in Ottawa, Canada and tried them, only to be considerably disappointed. Granted, it would appear they needed big time set ups(one would not hold tune, made scratchy noises at nut when string bent, had rough frets, the other could not get in tune.) Still, surprised they were so off the mark right away.
its better than a rickenbacker....man i hate rickenbackers SOOOOOO mucho.... so over rated sound hideous..... I HATE RICKENBACKERS...!

What about the dano hornet, does it sound the same? The 63 is also another dano that does sound very similar to the dc.
