i think this guy is 100% wrong. no immigrant comes to this country thinking they have welfare, they have benefits. I support ron on everything but this. It is amnesty, no doubt, but what other solution is there to the ones that are already here? You can do absolutely nothing, like is being done now, you can make them into taxpaying citizens so that they support the infrastructure they enjoy(there are 18,000,000 of them so they would generate a ton of revenue). The third option is deportation. This is unrealistic. Thats like trying to deport Florida(because of 18 mil). Paul is right on everything else.

Ever since the industrial revolution, immigrants have kept america with a cheap labor pool and kept the price of goods low. But what are we going to do about the ones already here? I say end unemployment, social security, medicare, medicaid, welfare. Put it all in the private sector. But even without the welfare, America is still more economically promising than mexico, so they won't go back.

The only benefit they might use is education, but even them, some of them dropped out to get a job to help pay there parents bills. Even with these bills they still pay taxes, wouldn't that entitle them to use maybe 1 benefit. Also, one of there big arguments is that they are taking away jobs. I support ron on everything but this. It is amnesty, no doubt, but what other solution is there to the ones that are already here? You can do absolutely nothing, like is being done now, you can make them into taxpaying citizens so that they support the infrastructure they enjoy(there are 18,000,000 of them so they would generate a ton of revenue). Ever since the industrial revolution, immigrants have kept america with a cheap labor pool and kept the price of goods low. But what are we going to do about the ones already here? From what I heard from Paul, I don't think he's too concerned about rounding them up and sending em back, but try and stop future attempts, but I think I've also heard him talk about true immigration reform, so I'm guessing it would be much more fair than it is now.

yeah like he said, we should bring home our troops from 700 international bases and we could easily guard the borders. But Ron said he wouldn't make the ones already here into citizens, which disappointed me, cause I agree with him on everything except for immigration, gay marriage, and the death penalty

im sorry i wasn't clear enough. I am for gay marriage, but ron paul says it's a state's right. I would disagree and bring up the equal legal rights clause of the 14th amendment and say that banning gay marriage is unconstitutional.

There is no doubt in my mind what they swapped McCain's votes with Ron Paul's electronically. What the hell do people expect when you have two private corporations doing the electronic counting???
There's a lot of evidence for fraud. Far too much for me to fit in this post, but if I think anybody was threatened it was the head of Ron Paul's campaign by foolishly not paying a measly $10,000 to investigate the primary fraud that was out right proven in Iowa in the one city that was checked.

It's a shame he's not running anymore and shows just how broken America has become. We had a canidate that is saying straight up I want to lower taxes, bring our troops home, restore freedom (listen to him talk about laws regarding drugs and prostitution God forbid free people make their own decisions)and now we are stuck w/ McCain or Obama for another 4 to 8 years of the the same thing...after two hundered years I'm fairly sure the men who founded this country would weep at what it has become

lol, no. WEll, he's probably for deportation but he's said in many interviews that it's impossible to even find all the illegal immigrants, especially without violating people's privacy rights. So it's not high up on his list. He feels that fixing the economy will cause immigrants to be more welcome because we'll need them to work jobs in the US.

I hope Mexicans do pay taxes, because they have more kids then anyone else. They do not believe in birth control. The Census bureau has determined that the U.S. population would only be around 170 million without immigrants because native born Americans have smaller families. Our air would be cleaner, we would have less crime, less sprawl, less environmental destruction. Why can't Mexicans have smaller families for God's sake?
