@SpringHiller09 For me, the actress got worse and worse throughout the series. She seemed OK from 1-5. When it came to Half-Blood Prince, where she had a bigger role, she seemed really awkward. It might have been because she wasn't able to handle the expectations, or she simply wasn't a good actress on her own. Neither way, her performance was a bit too robotic and awkward. She always has that blank look on her face, even in big emotional moments. Book Ginny is awesome; film Ginny... not :-(

@TheUnseenMovieLover I agree. And I didn't like this movie with Harry and Ginny either. They did it completely wrong. He doesn't have a crush on her...or doesn't realize til she sees her with Dean. Thats when he starts having feelings for her. And they did their kiss wrong. In the book is is unexpected and spontanioius. The movie completly awkward and not passionate at all.

@SpringHiller09 I agree with you. They did screw up Harry and Ginny in the films. As much as I'm up for the directors being nice to their cast and crew, I wish someone had stepped in and told the actress playing Ginny to up her game. They can do more than one take, but with every Ginny scene, it feels like they just took the very first take and put it in the movie. Harry's feelings towards Ginny come out of nowhere, and you don't really understand why he suddenly falls for her.

Plus, there is the obvious problem that there is no passion between them. A lot of people have criticised the romance between Ron and Hermione, but Rupert and Emma have a real spark and a nice humanity in the way they play the romance. Ginny just feela robotic, and to be honest, I think the blame needs to be split between the actress, the director and the writer. But the actress is the one on screen, and when she sucks the life out of her every scene. you've got a problem.

@chaoticXmisfit Same here. They didn't get it right at all. In the books, Ginny was pretty much the perfect girl; feisty, fiery, intelligent, tough, sexy and brave. Where's that in the movies? She's blank to the point where she makes bland sound like a compliment. I know that it was also the fault of the writer and director, but there must have been better actresses who could have brought more presence to the role. Plus, her awkwardness does seem to affect Radcliffe when they're together :-(

They probably just casted Bonnie as Ginny because she looked the part lol I hate to say. And i dont like how it shows how Harry just all of a sudden liked her either

@chaoticXmisfit - Amen to THAT! Haruna forever! But the end of DH2 makes it seem as though the Haruna scenes in HBP (and ESPECIALLY OotP) never happened! Neville can just go hook up with Ginny, and Harry can be with Luna, his one and only.
