@coulsonsam87 Awesome I have the candy orange one on layaway I work at a fast food place at the moment so it wont be home for 3 more months 8P by the way great playing
@coulsonsam87 With the original humbucking pickups (like on the Gibson Les Paul I have) that's even better for that kind of blues songs ! I love the cover you made of this very popular song of BB King !
Yes, Sam, I can hear Gary and BB, but most of all I can hear Sam, playing this beautiful improvisation of The Thrill Is Gone, and it sends shivers down my spine! SOULFUL to the utmost! I'm listening to it for the third time already.
@ninonthatsme Thanks so much Ninon, I spend allot of time listening to Gary and bb. I'm glad you enjoyed listening to this one, i certainly enjoyed playing it.
Joe Satriani is coming to Manchester later this year. Can't see your name in any upcoming gigs Sam. The Manchester Academy would be an ideal venue for you. Book yourself in to play and I'll bring my mate Andy. 2 tickets guaranteed to sell at the very least. I'm sure you'll fill it.
If it's good enough for Mr. Gilbert and Mr. Malmsteen, it'll be good enough for you.
Quick question on the modes - say you're in key of C, you can play a minor pentatonic. But you mention Aeolian mode too - so would that be just be c major scale starting on a? Cheers.
Very nice! That is so true! If you have a nice vibrato your playing is much nicer to the ear, you can play the notes right but uncontrolled vibrato ruins everything!
I here a lot of Gary Moore in this tune Sam! Great playing as always and great vibrato. I hear a lot of guys with chops but a vibrato that sounds like an angry Hornet and this is a great example of how to do it right.
i ignored vibrato for the longest time and just focused on getting fast licks, etc. so glad i realized the importance of vibrato in playing.... besides, it sounds badass!!! great vid man
@mlord1only Thanks mate, i took a few lessons when i began. The guy showed me how to chord around and play a few scales. Also i studied music technology at college, but that was pretty much all to do with the gear. The best guitar lessons for me were watching my favorite guitarists on youtube and playing along to blues records.
Sounds a lot like old Albert King...Ever heard Personal Manager? As far as I know there's not an original recording here on youtube, just a few guys trying to make those type of sounds.
dude ur amazing!!! please check out my new hotelm california solo it sucks and im making a new one today soon cause i didnt know all of it! rock on!! ur the best!

Where did you get that backing track from (and do you have to pay for it)???
BTW, that was amazing. Loved the whole thing.
To be honest, shredding is not my thing, and I love it when you don't do when you play blues!!!!! (No offence mate!)
