  • Wayne does this better than anyone!

  • Google: saxophonist "wayne wayne" Use the " ". There's lots of stuff.

  • there is nothing on Wayne Wayne on google.

Who is he? What is his real name?

  • This is real jazz, apart from the industry and critics; this music stands as a beacon of light to illuminate the musical truth of aural joy. Wayne Wayne is amazing. This is jazz at it's best.

  • This has been my absolute favorite song for over thirty years (since seeing The Summer of 42 when 10), and I have never heard it played to it's potential like this. Thank you so much for sharing.

  • I have never heard anyone ever deliver such sweet sounds from a saxaphone. Can anyone provide a source where I can get CDs with Wayne Wayne. I can't anything on him or his music. Any source would be appreciated.

  • I've known Wayne for 26 years, and he just gets better and better. When I tell him "Wayne, you blow!" he always takes it as a compliment. ⌠♥⌡

  • Wayne Wayne just recorded 3 tunes with me. I wrote the tunes, played keys, my SO/bassist/engineer and drummer Gener Alcantara.

He remains great! Caymarine, contact me if you want WW's email addy. Jan

  • Thanks for posting this video. I played with Wayne Wayne in a band called TRH in Michigan. Since my name is Wayne, our lead singer called me Wayne #1 and he was Wayne #2. He took the moniker one step further and called himself Wayne Wayne. He still does to this day. I eventually I left the band, Wayne Wayne moved to Cali, and we lost touch. I miss my old friend and hope to find him again someday. Thanks again for posting the video. It means more to me than you know.

    Wayne #1

  • Wayne is the shit! I've had the pleasure of playing/recording with him. LOVE me some WW.

  • Would love to see Jeni Fleming Trio do this, with words! Would be beautiful.

  • Absolutely phenomenal! Wayne Wayne blows my sox off. I have the pleasure of working with him occassionally, Friday before last as a matter of fact. Nobody interprets a melody like Wayne. He was the best in the Lido days and still is. People need to start knocking down his door to get him on their projects. I just hope I'll get a front row seat when the time comes for him to be up there for the world to hear. Wayne is the music; giving us all something to strive for. Much love, your sister Tina.

  • Tina,

WW is at the top of the list of what musician deserves TO BE HEARD-- as in INTERNATIONALLY!

I've had the pleasure of hearing WW play many times and he never ceases to amaze me with the complete musicality of what he does.

  • I came across this video a few days ago, while looking for sax performances, and I must say it's one of the most beautiful interpretations of this theme I've ever seen. I'm completely besotted with the atmosphere he creates, everything is perfect and I can't stop watching it. I looked for information about Wayne Wayne online, but I couldn't find much. Do you know whether it's possible to buy any CDs from him?

  • @giampolino76 Wayne has recorded four jazz CD's with Chris Ho, ( Picasso Blue is my favorite), & several rock & pop CD's with A Choired Taste, ( try Unspoken).

  • Gorgeous! What a stellar performance....let's get this viral! J

  • Thank you for posting this. Who doesn't miss the Lido.....Amazing the tone and passion of Wayne's performance. The arco is fabulous and Eddie's sparse background.....Gary perfect on dums .....no wobble when Wayne picks the tempo up slightly. Phenomenal musicians.......J

  • another GREAT one! --Wonderful taste!

  • Wow!! This is beautiful...my favorite song.

    Thanks so much!!!

  • Thanks a lot for posting this video. This saxophonist is really fantastic. Do you have any more?

    Thanks!!

  • OMG! Seeing better shoots of Eddie Ambrose so young and handsome looking... HAHAHA! Great shots of Gary Wing and the Iceman too! Wayne sounds just the way I remember, which is funny since we tend to romanticize the past as the good ole days soooo much. Thanks for posting these clips. What a nice trip down memory lane; back to a day when the OC had a jazz heritage. Sad that there is no Lido or Lido type place in our world any longer...

  • Who's the bassist? J

  • @jazziacssong the Ice Man

  • @gvSAXBOY What was Ice Man's moniker other than that? I've met all the other cats playing on this, but I don't recall ICM

  • @jazziacssong The bassist is Ron Shumake.

  • An evocative score that captured the mood of the film, perfectly

  • This is great, I have always loved this song..........
