  • Great song! Greetings from Serbia :)

  • I absolutetly LOVE Blackmore's night! I listen to folk rock all the time! It makes me feel like I'm in the medieval ages! Thank god for this music!

  • straightly-cut melody lines that will linger for a lifetime in one's musical memory

  • "Speed King!!!!!!!!!"

  • superb music and gorgeous candice!

  • Ritche was like "Damnit the camera caught me smiling gotta stop" at 2:22.

  • @Matthewfjr ik right! lol it was actally funny!

  • Aye I agree wth ritchie tis my favorite as well

  • What's that in her hair? It looks really pretty....

  • @MagykalShadow It's a head dressing made from chain-mail,,, they are popular item sold at many Renaissacne Faires.

  • Wonderful vid. Reminds me of the old country.

  • They should use this song for future commericals for a renaissance faire down where I live

  • Ho do I delete my comment if it sucked???

  • amazing............

  • I'm not into most blonds because they look all the same to me, but its all about her music not her looks.

  • @EmilBlueLime Buy glasses ;P

  • I have glasses I see just fine ; )

  • would somebody please... tell me what playback means??? I keep hearing about playback on youtube songs.

  • If this band ever plays at the State Theatre in Pennsylvania, I would surely die a happy man. I am such a huge, HUGE fan (Hades quote from Hercules the animated series)

  • the music is pure magic

  • hot stuff :-)

  • This was the very first song I heard by this group. After I heard it, I instantly fell head over heels in love with the band. I listened to nearly every song they made and downloaded most of them.

When I heard Richie say that he considered medieval and rennaisance music to be REAL music, I highly praised his opinion. I would prefer to listen to Blackmore's Night, Dubliners and any other musician in this genre than today's bands

  • @sadlobster1

    Amen brother

  • ummmmmmm...........

  • Dành cho Én Nhỏ!

  • @kienngot can't read gaelic, sorry....

  • This is Vietnamese my friend!

That means "This song is for you my lover!" :-)

  • 5 rennie stars

  • I love blackmore's night. Awesome!!!!

  • Amazing song. Candice is so beautiful. Ritchie is brilliant!!!!

  • @gothygirl97 candicer is not AS beautiful but ... good enough :-)

  • The whole video is terrific. Richie & Candice in the style of Robin Hood & Lady Marion. I fucking love it!

  • robin hood and lady marion were well before renaissance, though...

  • How about King Arthur and Guinevere? That will find into Renaissance times!

  • Hmmmm... Renaissance was 14th-17th century, but "The historical basis of King Arthur is a source of considerable debate among historians. King Arthur first appears as a legendary king of the Britons in 9th century sources, more than three centuries after his supposed floruit in 5th to early 6th century Sub-Roman Britain. "

  • Ritchie said this is one of his favorite BN songs :)

  • @eldyyy90 And that is too understand!

  • @eldyyy90 my too!

  • @eldyyy90 Yeah, and he said that he used to drive nuts the guys from Deep Purple with this song hahahaha

  • Beautiful voice. Gorgeous face. Infectious smile. Damn, Candice is so breathtaking! You definitely know how to choose them Ritchie! I wouldn't trade Candice for all of King Midas's gold or even Eternal Life on the thrones of the Lords of the West. Candice is truly our Luthien of this world. (Luthien was the most beautiful and fair of the elves of Tolkien's Middle-Earth for those who may not know.) I truly hope Ritchie and Candice are together for decades to come, in this world and next.

  • I don´t hope they will be together for long. I want her!

  • @WarHawk81A2 Very well said... AND!! look who her man is..???? Perfect couple..

  • @WarHawk81A2 You are so right, there really aren't that many women like Candice out there in today's word. Some women prefer a world of Malls and shoe sales than a simple, beautiful world of the renaissance and medieval eras like Candice does.

I'm not saying all women are like that, mind you. I'm only saying that when most people think about Renaissance faires and the mythical, they just think that those who like it are D&D wannabes and rejects

  • @WarHawk81A2 meh, she's not all that great, but song's pretty catchy

  • @WarHawk81A2 Crushes are all well and good, but music is far more enduring and significant.

This is of course one of my favorites.

  • once again5* because they are beautiful

  • Who hath made thee the gatekeeper? Canst thou call to the raven circling on high; "come hither" and have it light upon your arm? Many seek a uniqueness where we believe ourselves to hold the key to some ancient mystery or special secret where we define ourselves as the possessors and all others as without . . . "to be or not to be" . . . many expend much effort attempting "to be" when nothing could be more natural . . . your arrogance is akin to many religious groups--were you born a "rennie"?

  • Wow! Deep man, very deep.

  • I cannot claim to be the possessor of "the key to some ancient mystery or special secret" if I possess anything it is available to all who seek. For truly, the writers of the Dark Side of the Moon said it far more eloquently than I could ever hope to ". . . all that [I] touch and all that [I] see, all that [I] taste, all [I] feel . . . is all [my] life will ever be . . .." Unless, Napoleon Hill (and others) in his classic work "Think & Grow Rich" is correct about a Sixth Sense . . . Peace

  • I love this song and all I have to say is it's a rennie thing if you have to ask your not a rennie

    renfest

  • This is a dance from Tielman Susato's book of dances I believe, true renaissance, and its hugely popular in renaissance circles on recorders, crumhorns, percussion, etc. There is a very large following of early music, it certainly isn't dead!!

  • This is a perfect song! nice!

  • Ritchie you are the worst wizard ive ever seen but your wife is the most beautiful Faerie Queen ive ever seen :) awesome track i love it!!! you are both wonderful!!!

  • beautiful stuff. this is sure a far cry from the deep purple days, but whatever ritchie plays is just so amazing! his signature feel makes a world of difference.

  • Amazing song.. I wish they would come to Istanbul too =(

  • Very nice performance ! Phalaïna

  • They performed in Brescia, Italy :)

  • yes! they perfomed this song! Two days ago ^^ it was wonderful!

  • Been at their concert last night.....really a good performance!!!!

Candice is so beautiful, she always smiles...and Ritchie is amazing...

And they got married 2 months ago!!!

  • You are so lucky to see them in person! Did they perform this song?

  • Man...u wont belive me...they've player this song 2 times....amazing!!!

  • That was so cool! Chances are the audience wanted to hear it twice! Where did see them perform?

  • Kowtow and best wishes from Moscow.

  • this song is so beautiful, its there best far as mideviel music goes, but ritchies best is of course made in japan, live, august 1972, he can still wail away on electric strat,, o this is beautiful, you gotta love candace, such a laughin girl, an breathtakinly beautiful,, please come to atlanta, i been askin for so manyears, please come to atlanta, or conyers just east of atlanta,,

  • jojoj

  • This song is my favorite of all times . . .

  • Anyone else ever been to the GLMF????????

  • Oh yeah! Listen ing to Ritchie's playing still

give's me chills up and down my spine, still make my eyes well up with tears of joy. Whatever genre he's playing at the moment he's always topnotch. The best all around guitarist on the planet. People argue about who's the best Rocker, Shredder, or Blues or Jazz or Flamenco player, but when it comes to versatility, Ritchie's got 'em all by the balls.

  • I think that was filmed at their actual house, because in the last scene she and he are walking by a bench, and I think I saw it a few years back on VH1's Where Are They Now?. Awesome.

  • stupenda..

  • maravilhoso.

  • yeah ok pal i agree with you.

  • im afraid sweden russia and poland are a bit far away to go for a concert if you live in the north east of england!

  • Further yet for me being in the USA! But if I could travel to any of those places, I would make it a point to be in the area where they are performing!

  • seen these twice at newcastle and workington

brilliant music and great atmosphere at their gigs.lets hope theytour again this year

  • Check out their website that uses their name. They will be in Sweden, Russia and Poland this month!

  • Great!

  • Beautiful video, voice and music. Thanks for sharing.

  • Very beautiful song, i love this band

  • this is a very beautiful song, it's so nice to see that renaissance and folk music isn't dead like most people say it is

  • I think it was for awhile but it is make a strong comeback and may it continue to grow!

  • great!

  • Ritchie looks like a walking talking pencil with that hat though.

  • does anyone go to pennsic???

  • I've always wanted to go but I've never had the privilege many of the people of my Barony have been, many times.

  • Lovely, evocative song, great video. Blackmore's Night will still be in demand 100 years from now, and beyond, as founders of a new facet of rock-influenced music. Rock on, Ritchie and your company of latter-day bards!

  • Blackmore's Night RULES!!! I'd vote for them for King and Queen any day! : ) THANKS!
