  • They still make em, just not for sale in the us anymore. I am a generator tech, and see 71's, 92's daily...2000+. 92 is very responsive to load changes, probably best ive seen. Very little droop when it picks up a heavy load. Recently I saw a brand new Cummins 743. Anyone remember those?? Made in India, but it was a brand new engine on a generator. I see alot of cool things for a diesel head.

  • I am looking at one in Washinton state. I live just South of you in SC...Got another? I want something with and 8V in it.

  • Brad what do you recommend for the headlights I got a 79 w900 and the headlights suck at night

  • Should of had the headlights on when you were cruising it on the road.

  • Brad you do fine work fixing these old trucks , I got a 1980 white road boss series 2 with a 475 8v92 detroit , I haul pulpwood with it 5 days a week over in East Tn , Id love to get you a hold of it & make it shiny again !

  • could someone subcontract you guys out to restore a transtar??..i like your work..top shelf..

  • are u serious 7900 buys one !!!!!!

  • No one builds trucks like the americans

  • Can't beat a KW with a detroit. Damn that thang sounds good.

  • @22ratshot

Sad day when they stopped making the two strokes!

  • @MrJoegixxer Yea but there's alot of em still alive.

  • Spicer 20 speed? Wow..that's obviously a two stick 5x4.

  • ill take it haha i wish i could

  • We have these in Australia would love to buy a truck off you one day.

  • man if you paint that black wit gold strips youll be the snowman himself c'mon

  • thats funny my grandpa had a 1978/79 kenworth w900 with the black paint and gold stripes he passed away in 1993 and sadly the truck was sold and then the guy wrecked from what I hear

  • well next one you get one. inform me because i would buy it off you in a heart beat. thanks

  • how much money would you take for it

  • It's sold.

  • @classicpower07 damn!

  • @classicpower07 wheres snowman?

  • I love it, beautiful truck

  • what a beautiful truck and a kick ass detroit diesel engine

  • looks like Alabama.

  • look at the transmission like a 5 and 4 pretty much the same thing we have one in an 84 pete and i wouldnt trade it for the world, not many paople left who know how to drive em, much less a twin stick! LOL

  • whats a double frame? thanks

  • a double frame?? that means the frame rails have been reinforced with another frame inside of the exsisting one, it is pretty common with loggin trucks dump trucks and heavy haul trucks

  • thanks

  • Oh, then it';s a one stick. With four ranges.

  • yeah thats the ticket

  • Yep, it's a blumin' shame they don't build K-Whoppers like that anymore.

  • That's a beautiful truck, and i knew this song would be on there

  • thats a nice truck

  • Oh my God, if I had the money that sum'bitch would be sold right now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Fantastic truck!!!

  • WOW!! Have'nt seen a 20 speed spicer in a long time...a friend of mine had one in a '85 359 day cab....It dose'nt look like he knows how to shift one in low range.....

  • low range ? I thought it just had 5 speed

pattern with 4 splits on each gear....

  • AH yes........ What I ment to say is low speed........ But all the same, I've never drivin one before, I understand from my buddy that you have to be very precise between speeds or it won't shift correctly. (By the way) You can still find alot of these all over south America (Mexico...etc...etc...)

  • it hauled ass

  • she is hot and so is the truck

  • HOLY CARPO! 8-V92 Detroit, 20 Speed and a 4:63 ratio, what did this thing used to haul?

  • Oh Yeah thats nice...

  • nice truck goood video¡¡¡¡¡

  • Very purdy! Nice truck too! :)

  • whoa whoa whoa! What happend at 1:06? did you hit the car?

  • this engine has 1 lb feet of torque

  • The Detroit Diesel engine sounded awesome, and made Horsepower by virtual of rpms , but they never made anywhere near the torque that modern 4 stroke diesels made. One of the best motors I have ever run is the Cummins ISX 475 with 1850 lb feet of torque.

  • You & your math make you stupid...

  • Not a bad-lookin' old A model. Kinda odd seeing a V-8 Detroit with a single exhaust...even factory, most of them I ever saw had duals....would benefit from having the extra pipe in terms of HP.

  • excelent truck

  • Sweet, that sounded like the motor the passenger buses used, which one did they use?

  • I think they used the 8V71 in the buses!

  • 6v92's were fairly popular in the city transit buses.

  • That is true, along with the 8V71N.

  • 萌え☆

  • thats a lovely truck! did you restore it your self?

  • Is that a green motor? It doesn't sound like a silver series. It really sounds like an 8v71 to me

  • it's a 8v92. They made non silver 8v92's which were called the 430s. They were painted green too.

  • I know that but it cracks like a 71 series. Most 92's didn't crack like the 71's ever did.

  • $7900 for that truck??? I would love to come pick it up

  • Thats nice oldie.Bout how much can u pick up a old truck for?I was wanting to get my CDl and get a older truck to pratice in and fix up.

  • where do u guys live at? and how do u find these ol' jewels

  • North Carolina,Come see us.

  • Dude that thing is nasty!!! badass!

  • Dual 6' Straights would make that thing sound like it was straight from the bowels of hell!

  • Nice truck..
