  • interesting choice in cloths for the video

  • check out "krav maga human weapon part 1" this is more like a real knife scenario. Fast forward towards 5:00 , and you will see. Now, the technique they teach to defend against knife attacks called "bursting" is very similar to "pao chuan" in xingyi. I think you will see the correlation. Cheers, and keep going forward in life. I didnt mean to come off as rude. sorry. - Randy

  • @randyds5

no worries - and thanks for taking an interest :)

  • After watching your videos I'm finally getting an idea of how to actually apply the movements of the internal arts. So many "So called Masters" like to hide the applications, (if they know them at all). This really has a negative effect on the future of the arts. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us. you've raised my hope on gaining my expectations ;)

  • 99% of people who attack you with a knife dont pull it out and say "im gonna cut you!", that pull it out with you barely realizing it, and then two seconds later they are trying to do a prison style, unrelenting "shank" attack. Iam a xingyi fighter myself, and I think your video has some really good basic foundations, but for certain things such as knife fighting, you should explore krav maga, systema, and other knife fighting arts. Then go back and referr it to xing yi. get many perspectives

It bothers me a little when people suppose that they have greater authority than someone else concerning knives or real life assault. I have been involved in a lot of real life violence, much of it very serious and including fights involving knives and impromptu weapons. I have explored other arts too and arrived at my own conclusions. I have the authority to make decisions on such matters, as a successful survivor and vigilante.

  • @martialtaichi Im sorry. You are correct. You also live in another country, and other people attack differently in different areas of the world. Keep training. I really enjoy your xingyi. I would like to see some of your applications against a violent shank still though. Ahmitofo- Randy

  • You obviously know your stuff.

    nice video.

  • Hee Hee

  • It's she she, actually :{

  • I have been watching many of your videos and find them very enjoyable and interesting.

I am glad that someone is portraying the usefulness of Chinese martial art, since in my area of the United States some people think less of them than of Karate, Tae Kwon Do, or MMA.

  • nice

  • lmao

  • lmao?

ah - Lovely Martial Applications Obviously

  • The meaning of peanut butter is to never forget the sweet stuff in life. You know, like when you're making a sandwich, if you have the peanut butter, don't forget the jelly.

(yes, I always click on the "more info" link.)

On a more serious note, you presented some good information here, as usual. I always find your videos informative. :)

  • Thank you :)

  • Still wearing the oxygen?

  • I'm afraid so - it might take a while to be free from it.

  • Thank you,Great explanations
